The fantasy semifinals are underway and there is no time for mistakes. Finding the best possible pieces to play is a challenge every week, but sticking to the players who got you here is paramount. For those with questions on who to trust – we have a great list of players that should earn heavy points this week. Follow us as we look at the best to play and sit this week.

Lamar Jackson (BAL)
Even though Lamar Jackson hasn’t been the same player as what we witnessed last season, this week the Ravens have no choice but to run the ball. Hollywood Brown is out for this contest which means the dedication to the run will be heavy. Over the past two weeks we’ve seen Baltimore go back to basics and that should again be the case. Play Jackson with confidence this week.
If you’ve been holding Jared Goff on your bench for matchup appeal – this is the week it all pays dividends. Facing the Jets porous defense and riding high with an extremely balanced offense, the Rams will have many opportunities to score points in bunches. The Jets are heavy underdogs and will turn the ball over at least a handful of times. Goff will flirt with being a top-five QB this week.
Cam Akers (LAR)
While its easy to piggyback last weeks showing for Cam Akers, the proof is here again verse a horrible Jets defense and the fact that this backfield now should belong to him. L.A is the most balanced offense at this point of the season and will unload on New York this week. Very safe play here.
With the loss of Ronald Jones this week, we get to witness Leonard Fournette as the potential lead back for this offense. With that said, its unclear to how much volume will be had – but he is the best back on this offense with Jones on the sidelines. Having a good matchup, his floor will be safer than most.
With Raheem Mostert hobbling with injury but still likely to suit up, the 49ers will roll with Jeff Wilson once again against the Cowboys. Dallas is one of the leagues worst defenses verse the run and will be exploited again by Kyle Shanahan’s aptitude to feed the ground game. Wilson is a great pickup and play this week.
Brandon Aiyuk (SF)
One of the better waiver pickups this season will turn out to be the 49ers Brandon Aiyuk. With Deebo Samuel on the shelf with another injury – Aiyuk has seen an influx of targets the past two weeks to the tune of 25 passes. Facing the Cowboys and their horrific secondary, this is a great play this week.
If you have to make the choice between the two, don’t, both Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp have the potential to be big earners this week. The Jets are one of the worst teams in the league verse the pass and the Rams will want to tune up their chemistry in the pass game. Don’t be afraid to lock these two in this week.
It has been well documented that the Colts TY Hilton loves to play the Texans – and he gets to burn them for the second time in three weeks. Hilton has seen his role increase in this offense of late and shouldn’t falter whatsoever this week. Hilton is looking to be a league winner at the flex spot at this point. Start with confidence.
Dalton Schultz (DAL)
When it comes to the Cowboys Dalton Schultz, he has had a six-point floor for many weeks now. However, facing the 49ers who play zone for majority of games, Schultz will have the potential to find his way back into the endzone. Tight end has been tough to predict, but this should be a good play in week.
Drew Brees (NO)
It comes with great levels of shock that Drew Brees has been cleared to suit up for this contest, as he was expected to miss this one again. With that, the fear in jumping on the Brees bandwagon for this contest has bust potential written all over it. Coming back from broken ribs is no easy feat and we’d error on the side of caution to suggest leaving him on the bench. Its not worth the risk.
Even as the Vikings Kirk Cousins has played well enough to support your club, this week we aren’t as encouraged to plug him in. Facing the Bears defense that will be pushing to gain that coveted playoff spot – we could see Cousins under pressure a great deal. Minnesota will want to control the clock with Dalvin Cook, leaving a smaller floor for Cousins upside.
David Johnson (HOU)
Even returning to the field won’t encourage us to play David Johnson this week. Facing the Colts defense that is extremely stout in stopping the run – the last time these clubs met, Johnson managed only 10.4 points, half PPR. At this point in how poor this Texans team is overall, look elsewhere for production.
Over the past several weeks, we have preached the infatuation for Wayne Gallman, but now is the time to rest him on the bench. Facing the Browns who have played very well on the defensive side this season, Gallman will find it difficult to run free with Colt McCoy as the quarterback. Negative matchup here, look in a different direction.
Here we find another situation where we can’t support the Cowboys Zeke Elliott in anyway. Facing the 49ers who are still very strong in stopping the run – you’re better off playing Dallas receivers over Elliott. In the last eight weeks, Elliott has earned only one game over the 15-point mark in full PPR. It is not safe to trust him in the semifinals.
Jakobi Meyers (NE)
There is no way in any situation we can play the Patriots Jakobi Meyers this week. If that thought process was in your mind – allow us to remove it. The Dolphins have a tandem of defensive backs that will lock up the pass game all day, leaving Meyers a dud in the semis. Keep him on the bench.
With no Matthew Stafford this week to a rib injury, Chase Daniel is a player we have no faith in to support Marvin Jones. Even facing the Titans porous pass defense, there are much better options out there for everyone to take advantage of. Don’t risk it this week.
Some may believe that the return of Gardner Minshew will provide an uptick to DJ Chark. This will not be the case verse the Ravens defense and Chark needs to remain on the bench as he has been. The last time Chark had a solid contest was back in week nine and before that was week four. Even if Chark finds a way, we aren’t taking that chance.
Hayden Hurst (ATL)
We have been supporters of Hayden Hurst for most of the season, but now is the time to devalue his perspectives. Even with Julio Jones out with injury – Hurst hasn’t been able to muster much of anything. Being a non-factor the last two weeks and not finding the endzone since week six, keep him on the bench again.
Tom Brady (TB)
This is the week we should witness the Buccaneers come out of their shell and find that consistent explosion we’ve all expected. This could be the game which opens the door to that progressive build of this roster and Tom Brady will have a potential fantastic game in the process. Facing the Falcons who have nothing left to play for, we are overly excited at the prospects.
The Buffalo Bills are facing a Broncos club this week that will be supremely shorthanded at the corner back position. This bodes extremely well for a very safe floor with the possibility of being the top passer of the week. While the Broncos give up middle of the pack numbers to the position – the loss of talent on defense will be exploited. Get ready for a big show.
Derrick Henry (TEN)
Part of this process is to find the best talent on a weekly basis and legitimately, Derrick Henry could get back over the 200-yard mark in back-to-back weeks. Facing the Lions who struggle on the best of days to stop the run – Henry will finish as a top three back in week 15.
If you require upside or just a replacement player to lift your club this week, the Dolphins Lynn Bowden has that opportunity. With Myles Gaskin in Covid protocol and missing in action again – Bowden will be the replacement as last week. With others nursing injuries on this offense at the receiver position, Bowden will have a safe floor in respect to target share. Flex play all day with great upside.
The Colts Jonathan Taylor is on an absolute tear of late and we see no reason that won’t continue in week 15. Facing the Texans three weeks ago – Taylor managed to secure a healthy 21+ points in full PPR. The Colts are moving in the right direction and the offense is beginning to explode. JT is a fabulous play this week.
AJ Brown (TEN)
Over the course of the season, AJ Brown has seen many big contests with touchdowns lining his stat sheet. This week will be no different, but the potential for a massive showing is present. We could witness another 20-point floor with multiple TDs when this contest is done. Brown will be a big day player with potential top-five value this week.
Amidst all the issues with Diontae Johnson dropping balls this season, this contest should act as that get right contest. Pittsburgh needs to get back to basics and facing the Bengals on Monday Night is where this occurs. There is no question of the talent he holds and we are encouraged for a potential multi-touchdown day.
Much like the Josh Allen evaluation, Stefon Diggs will benefit a great deal with the absence of Denver cover corners. Having only three healthy members to defend the Bills pass game – Diggs will again prove he was a fantastic player to covet in that trade. Diggs has been reliable and spectacular all season, but this could be one of his better days.
Noah Fant (DEN)
Even as Noah Fant hasn’t found that killer instinct this season, the Bills are one of the worst clubs in the league in defending the position. Fant will have many opportunities to earn big points, as the Broncos will likely be playing from behind and will have to throw their way back in. Fant hasn’t seen the endzone since week two – so get ready for a return in that department.
