This is the final week of the fantasy regular season and its no surprise the wire is becoming supremely thin. Still finding players that could have some matchup value is present, which will be a potential positive over the next four weeks. Let’s dive into this week’s edition of wavier wire targets.

Kirk Cousins (MIN) (40%)
Over the past several weeks, Kirk Cousins has been more than serviceable, earning solid showings in the process. Taking on the Jacksonville Jaguars this week could bring with it very safe numbers, if you require a passer. Don’t sleep on Cousins as this could be the final effective week for him.
In five of the last six weeks, Philip Rivers has been a great passer for the fantasy community and will again have the ability to put up very strong numbers. Facing the Houston Texans who struggle on defense in the best of times – we are extremely comfortable for a plug-in play here.
If you are truly stuck at the position and require help, the possible play of Sam Darnold might be something you look to. Its not to suggest that he will have a very strong showing but given what’s left off the wire – desperate times call for desperate measures. You could worse than this man this week.
Mitchell Trubisky (CHI) (4%)
Mike Glennon (JAX) (1%)
Alex Smith (WAS) (10%)
Cam Akers (LAR) (30%)
At this point the Rams running back room is becoming a dart throw based on volume, but Cam Akers is beginning to turn the corner. Coach Sean McVay has stated in the past that he intends to use all three backs and this is looking to be the case. Akers could carve out a role in the pass game which will lift him in PPR formats. At this point, he is a solid add to have on your roster.
Last week Brain Hill was the main attraction to take over the bulk of the workload for the Falcons, however, Ito Smith was the one who stole the show. This week could see a combination of both runners (with Todd Gurley a question mark), so it could end up being a dart throw once again. If you require a runner this week, Ito Smith should be looked at.
With no one standing in his way in terms of removing volume, Frank Gore has again found fantasy viability and should be seen as a plug-in play if needed. Having back-to-back weeks of over 10-points (full PPR) and facing the Raiders who give up points in bunches – Gore is the unlikely but rational start. You could do a lot worse than him this week.
Sony Michel (NE) (19%)
Matt Breida (MIA) (22%)
Joshua Kelley (LAC) (19%)
Benny Snell (PIT) (36%)
Tony Pollard (DAL) (19%)
Allen Lazard (GB) (39%)
We have been waiting for Allen Lazard to finally return to the field and he looked somewhat sharp this past week. While we did witness him leave the field with an injury again, its still uncertain of his status for the week. With that said, playing in an offense that can score points in bunches – Lazard is a great pickup and stash with matchup appeal. If you lost Will Fuller this week, he is a great replacement.
Speaking of Will Fuller and his unfortunate PED suspension, the next man up mentality is likely to become Keke Coutee. Don’t discount the fact that Isaiah Coulter could also steal targets in this offense post Fuller – but we must be cautious and believe Coutee has earned the first rights to be a weapon in this offense. If he sputters, Coulter is the next in line.
Without John Brown on the field, rookie Gabriel Davis is turning heads and rightfully so. Davis was a favorite of ours coming out this past NFL Draft (as the full body of work needed refinement), but the overall talent was present. The Bills offense is moving in the right direction and Davis will continue to have a role with Smokey Brown on the sidelines. Boom or bust is here, but touchdown upside is true.
If you have issues at the position, Nelson Agholor is still owned in less than 50% of leagues and should still bring safer PPR upside. Even as the Raiders completely imploded last week against the Falcons – facing the Jets will bring back a positive breath of fresh air. Agholor is a great matchup player if you’re in need.
Russell Gage (ATL) (8%)
TY Hilton (IND) (38%)
Breshad Perriman (NYJ) (12%)
Isaiah Coulter (HOU) (0%)
Tim Patrick (DEN) (22%)
Keelan Cole (JAX) (27%)
Dalton Schultz (DAL) (22%)
For as bad as the Cowboys offense has been, Dalton Schultz has been somewhat reliable in full PPR formats. While his game is completely touchdown dependant – the PPR game will keep him earing a floor of around six points. For how poor the tight end position is for fantasy, six points a week as his floor isn’t terrible.
The Jaguars rotation of quarterbacks continues, and Mike Glennon is again the starter for week 13. Certain passers understand that having a safety blanket with the tight end could go a long way and this is what transpired with Tyler Eifert last week. With Glennon throwing passes and looking to move the offense, Eifert is back in the mix. Buyer-beware, zero points is his floor.
Much like the evaluation for Keke Coutee, Jordan Akins has a glorious opportunity to see many more targets come to his direction. With Will Fuller no longer available to play – the Texans will need to generate offense in other ways and Akins could be a strong fit. Tight end is difficult to predict, but upside is present here.
Trey Burton (IND) (19%)
Kyle Rudolph (MIN) (15%)
Jordan Reed (SF) (24%)
Will Dissly (SEA) (4%)
Green Bay (67%) vs Philadelphia
