NFL WEEK 12 – Predictions (Projected odds makers @ Nov.27.2020 – 12:00PM EST)

Sunday Nov.29

Las Vegas -3 @ Atlanta
The Vegas Raiders continue to show they can hang with the Chiefs whenever they face and have been great verse the spread this season. Taking travel to Atlanta who will likely be without Julio Jones, that is a major uptick for Vegas. Derek Carr has played well and should bring his A-game verse a defense that has struggled all season.

The Falcons only chance in this contest is to pile up touchdowns over field goals, which was the case last week. Matt Ryan should again find ways to move the ball, but the way in which the Raiders are built – they should move the ball easily on this Falcons defense. Josh Jacobs should have a big day and Vegas comes away with the victory.
ADF Pick: LVR -3 LVR 6 ATL 43 (L)
@SoJash Pick: LVR -3 LVR 6 ATL 43 (L)

LA Chargers @ Buffalo -5.5
The Chargers are truly the league’s most unfortunate club, as losing contests by one score is the common thread over the past two or three seasons. While Justin Herbert has been a revelation in his rookie season, he will need to be on point on the road in Western New York. The Bills defense at times is beatable but riding the ground game should be the plan here.

The Bills are coming off the bye and will be rested and ready to go. Losing John Brown and lineman Cody Ford should be a primary focus in how we view the Bills this week – however, Josh Allen will be ready to go. Without Brown stretching the field, we saw before how this offense took a slight step back. While we believe the Bills will come out on top verse a bad Charger defense, the spread is hard to endorse with how well Herbert has played.
ADF Pick: LAC +5.5 LAC 17 BUF 27 (L)
@SoJash Pick: LAC +5.5 LAC 17 BUF 27 (L)

NY Giants -6 @ Cincinnati
This will be the first week we see the Bengals without their star rookie passer Joe Burrow, and we for one are terrified at what will transpire. Brandon Allen will take the reins behind center and has proven to be adept in moving the ball in the past. However, the Giants defense is playing very well, and are still inline to take over top spot in the NFC East.

The Bengals unfortunately have far too many injures for us to feel comfortable in believing a full touchdown won’t be covered - but don’t be shocked if this gets killed late. With that said, Daniel Jones has played well enough at times to put points on the board and Cincinnati simply doesn’t hold enough playmakers on defense to stop them this week.
ADF Pick: NYG -6 NYG 19 CIN 17 (L)
@SoJash Pick: NYG -6 NYG 19 CIN 17 (L)

Tennessee @ Indianapolis -3
One of the bigger contests of the week comes from Indy, as the Titans and the Colts plan to square off. The Colts will be without DeForest Buckner due to Covid, and that is a mammoth loss on the defensive side of the ball. Buckner has transformed this defense into a league leader but without him on the field, Derrick Henry should find lanes to roam free.

Tennessee hasn’t been the best version of themselves for the entire season but seem to be in every contest they play. Finding that killer instinct is something we are still waiting for and riding Henry late in games is the key. The Titans have been terrible verse the spread this season, but this game could literally be a one-point event either way.
ADF Pick: TEN +3 TEN 45 IND 26 (W)
@SoJash Pick: TEN +3 TEN 45 IND 26 (W)

Carolina @ Minnesota -3.5
The Carolina Panthers rolled with PJ Walker last week and we genuinely liked what we saw. Now, with Teddy Bridgewater taken off the injury report, he is pegged to get back behind center. While we liked the way the offense moved with Walker more, Bridgewater is the safer passer overall. Taking travel to Minnesota where everything began for him, it’s hard to question the revenge game juices not high for Bridgewater.

The Vikings will again ride Dalvin Cook in this contest in hopes to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. Minnesota may be without the services of Adam Thielen due to Covid - but Justin Jefferson will be ready to take on more of the target share. The Vikings haven’t been the best in terms of covering the spread this season and seeing nearly four points on the favor is difficult for us to take. We are suckers for revenge games and Teddy should come out to play.
ADF Pick: CAR +3.5 CAR 27 MIN 28 (W)
@SoJash Pick: MIN -3.5 CAR 27 MIN 28 (L)

Arizona -2 @ New England
The Cardinals are coming off a loss last week to the Seahawks but will have extra rest and prep-time after playing last Thursday Night. Taking travel to New England going West-East is never favorable for any spread but Kyler Murray and company will be geared up for this one to keep pace in the division. We fully expect a much better showing than what we saw last week.

The Patriots aren’t the team we once knew and still leave a lot of plays on the field each week. Cam Newton isn’t the passer he once was and will have to again lean on the ground game to get things done. The Cardinals defense has been better than advertised but have struggled verse better competition. With that said, the Patriots aren’t heavy competition and should be displaced rather easily. We roll Cards all day long here.
ADF Pick: ARZ -2 ARZ 17 NE 20 (L)
@SoJash Pick: NE +2 ARZ 17 NE 20 (W)

Miami -7 @ NY Jets
Vegas is at the point of giving Miami generous lines, but this isn’t the week we like a touchdown spread in their favor. With news breaking that Salvon Ahmed is out and Tua Tagovailoa is a possible sit – it’s hard to believe they will be riding high in this one. Granted, Ryan Fitzpatrick is more than capable to move this offense, seven points is a tough task.

The Jets on the other hand look to be getting Sam Darnold back from injury and their receiving core is the healthiest its been all season. Being winless is never a great aspect to view in any locker room and we fully expect the Jets to win one this season at some point. Its not to suggest the Jets will come out with a win here, but we can’t support a seven-point spread in any way for the Fins.
ADF Pick: NYJ +7 MIA 20 NYJ 3 (L)
@SoJash Pick: NYJ +7 MIA 20 NYJ 3 (L)

Cleveland -6.5 @ Jacksonville
Earlier on the ADF Underground Podcast, we mentioned that the Browns could be one of the worst 6-3 (now 7-3) clubs in the NFL - but that’s only due to the team roster and scheme verse competition they’ve faced. The Browns have become an efficient team while playing within the Kevin Stefanski system and will ride the ground game each and every week. Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt will again be the focal points to ride them to victory.

The Jaguars have tried their best to compete on a weekly basis, but now are starting Mike Glennon as their quarterback, which is a terrible decision. We know what Glennon is capable of and better yet – what he can’t do on the field. With DJ Chark also pegged to miss this contest with an injury, the Browns will make easy work of this uneven club. This shouldn’t be must of a contest for Jacksonville and turnovers will help cover the spread for Cleveland.
ADF Pick: CLE -7 CLE 27 JAX 25 (L)
@SoJash Pick: CLE -7 CLE 27 JAX 25 (L)

New Orleans -6 @ Denver
The New Orleans Saints with Taysom Hill played very well last week and will take travel to the Mile-High to face the uneven Broncos. Hill did a much better job than we had envisioned, making it difficult to bet against them in any situation verse a weaker club. The defense is head and shoulders above this Denver offense and will make life tough on Drew Lock.

While playing at home is the only caveat turning our heads to believe they could possibly make this game closer than the spread indicates, the fire power on this Saints team is far to vast to promote anything positive for Denver this week. Even as Denver holds a positive record verse the spread this season – we will gamble here and roll with Hill in week 12.
ADF Pick: NO -6 NO 31 DEN 3 (W)
@SoJash Pick: NO -6 NO 31 DEN 3 (W)

San Francisco @ LA Rams -6.5
The 2020 season for the 49ers has been one of regret, as the injuries to the roster have been far too vast to overcome. Still having Nick Mullens behind center but likely to have Raheem Mostert back in action – there is a possibility they can move the ball on the ground.

The Rams showed the world they are still an extraordinarily strong club and will compete until the end of the season. Displacing the Buccaneers last week with distinction – the run game is still the typical way this offense will move. Jared Goff found his game last week feeding Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, but we fully expect a full mix and balance of offense this week to lead them to victory.
ADF Pick: LAR -6.5 SF 23 LAR 20 (L)
@SoJash Pick: LAR -6.5 SF 23 LAR 20 (L)

Kansas City -3.5 @ Tampa Bay
This will be highlighted as the game of the week, as Tom Brady will host Patrick Mahomes in a must win contest for Tampa Bay. The Bucs have been very uneven this season and bodes to support our argument that dream teams will never succeed in the NFL without time to develop. Finding specific roles for each player should’ve been the objective from day one – but that hasn’t been the case thus far.

The Chiefs are still the leagues cream of the crop and Mahomes continues to show he is the best player in the NFL. Leading his team back to victory last week with a mere one minute, 30-seconds left on the clock – how can anyone believe Tampa Bay will have a plan to stop this offense. While we would’ve liked to have seen a three-point spread here – we have no choice but to ride with Mahomes again.
ADF Pick: KC -3.5 KC 27 TB 24 (L)
@SoJash Pick: KC -3.5 KC 27 TB 24 (L)

Chicago @ Green Bay -9.5
Sunday Night Football will have an NFC North showdown with the Packers taking on the Bears. As it stands today, the Bears could be without Nick Foles, which will bring some level of dysfunction if Mitchell Trubisky goes back behind center. However, Trubisky does bring a different dynamic to the offense as he is capable to run and move out of the pocket. With a defense still playing strong, the Bears should have a shot in Green Bay.

The Packers are coming off a loss where turnovers sealed their fait last week and should be geared up to prove their worth in primetime. Green Bay will have to get back to the ground game to open the play action pass – but do we believe Trubisky will engineer scores to match this Packer offense? This is one of the most difficult games to predict for the week and we’ll error on the side of caution.
ADF Pick: CHI +9.5 CHI 25 GB 41 (L)
@SoJash Pick: CHI +9.5 CHI 25 GB 41 (L)

Monday Nov.30

Seattle -5.5 @ Philadelphia
The Seahawks got back to basics last week in taking down the Cardinals, where Russell Wilson went back to turnover free football. Getting the ground game moving is vastly important to this offense going forward and was seen in the efficiency rate for the entire contest. Facing a broken Eagles club that struggles on a weekly basis on both sides – Seattle will be far too much for them to handle.

It has become poison to back the Eagles in any shape or form as of today, where nothing allows us to feel positive anymore. Carson Wentz is a shell of what he was in the past with injuries derailing this roster overall. It is impossible to support this team and the Seahawks will be flying high this week.
ADF Pick: SEA -5.5 SEA 23 PHI 17 (W)
@SoJash Pick: SEA -5.5 SEA 23 PHI 17 (W)

Wednesday Dec.2

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh -5
The game at this point is in danger of being postponed due to the Covid outbreak the Ravens are dealing with. Lamar Jackson is one of those players on the list leaving this team extremely shorthanded. On the reverse, the Steelers are healthy and ready to go, to continue their path of being the leagues only undefeated club.

While we must make predictions based on what we know today and believing this contest could be moved to Tuesday – this will still pose to be a problem for Baltimore with players not able to suit up.
(We reserve the right to change this pick based on game development and circumstances)
ADF Pick: PIT -5 BAL 14 PIT 19 (W)
