Fantasy Football Week 11 Waiver Wire Targets

With the waiver wire becoming exponentially thin as the weeks prolong, our goal is always to find value in rest of season schedule and volume. Adding players to not only help your roster, but to block others is a fantastic play at this point of the season – because this could be the difference in winning and losing that coveted trophy. Also, never stop playing the wire to upgrade and cover your basis for potential injuries upcoming. Let’s dive into this week’s edition of wavier wire targets.

Quarterbacks:
Tua Tagovailoa (MIA) (45%)
The Miami Dolphins have turned from pretenders into a viable commodity in just a matter of weeks. Since Tua Tagovailoa took over the reins as the starter for this club, a difference in swagger has also been witnessed. Winning contests is the name of the game – but this rookie is starting to also show his fantasy football viability. With a good matchup forthcoming, he’s a decent fill in for week 11.

Jameis Winston (NO) (3%)
With the injury to Drew Brees likely holding him out for the next 2-3 weeks, Jameis Winston is the preferred replacement over Taysom Hill. Winston has proven to throw for over 5000-yards in this league, but turnovers have been his biggest foe. Playing on another offense loaded with talent, if Winston is named the starter – he carved up the Falcons last season to the tune of 514 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2019. If you’re truly stuck, he is a good option.

Kirk Cousins (MIN) (29%)
Over the past four games, the Vikings have done a much better job on the offensive side and Kirk Cousins has again become a great fill in, matchup quarterback. Taking on the Dallas Cowboys who at this point can’t stop a cold on the defensive side – picking up Cousins isn’t as dire as it once seemed to be. Holding a healthy 21.18 average points over the last four contests, he is a good plug-in play in week 11.

On the Radar:
Teddy Bridgewater (CAR) (45%)
Philip Rivers (IND) (22%)
Alex Smith (WAS) (5%)
Joe Flacco (NYJ) (1%)
Jake Luton (JAX) (4%)

Running Backs:
Kalen Ballage (LAC) (21%)
At this point, how can we trust the L.A. Chargers in terms of winning contests? But from the fantasy perspective – Kalen Ballage has apparently found a role and is doing wonders in that time. Taking over as the lead back in this offense the past two weeks – 15.9 & 14.07 points scored (full PPR) has been the end result. Owned in only 21% of leagues and facing the lowly Jets this week, we can endorse a pick up and play here.

Nyheim Hines (IND) (42%)
With how poor the play has been from their rookie Jonathan Taylor, Nyheim Hines has taken over in a very big way with added targets and playing time. Scoring a whopping 16.8 average half PPR points in the last three contests – Hines also hit a ceiling of 27-points last week. Facing the Green Bay Packers in week 11, the Colts will have to throw more in hopes to keep up with Aaron Rodgers. The bust potential is always real, but getting Hines on your roster is extremely important as of today.

Salvon Ahmed (MIA) (9%)
Heading back to the NFL combine, many didn’t take notice of Salvon Ahmed, but we sure did. He won’t wow you with highlight reel plays, but rather the consistent reliable nature of his play is where you’ll begin to appreciate this runner. Taking the lead in this backfield last week in carrying the ball a healthy 21 times, finding the endzone lifted his level to great heights. With his play looking great, the Fins out-right released Jordan Howard – which is a fabulous sign that Ahmed will have a solid role moving forward.

On the Radar:
Gus Edwards (BAL) (35%)
Cam Akers (LAR) (26%)
Devontae Booker (LVR) (3%)
Tony Pollard (DAL) (19%)
Jordan Wilkins (IND) (17%)

Wide Receivers:
Jakobi Meyers (NE) (45%)
The New England Patriots have found something in Jakobi Meyers and are continuing to feed him on the regular. Having 37 targets in the past four games, Meyers has turned that into glorious fantasy production. Even getting into the mix in play trickery with throwing a touchdown pass – its hard to believe he won’t continue to have a big role in this offense. Still available in 55% of leagues, he is another player that needs to be owned at this point.

Michael Pittman (IND) (10%)
With how poor the Colts have been in finding the wide receiver position this season, Michael Pittman was a breath of fresh air last week. Indianapolis utilized his ability and moved him all over the line in week 10. Playing in the slot was a welcomed sight, but truly Pittman isn’t limited to playing the outside and becoming prolific in redzone opportunities with the jump ball looking automatic from college. The prospects are looking great for Pittman moving forward.

Keelan Cole (JAX) (23%)
The Jaguars haven’t been anything to write home about this season, but they may have found something with the Jake Luton and Keelan Cole connection. Cole has been much better overall this season and should be viewed as a matchup play where possible. Even though receiver is very deep this season and finding talent hasn’t been difficult – the upside is here with Cole.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling (GB) (18%)
Has there been a player more frustrating than the Packers Marquez Valdes-Scantling? Becoming an afterthought overall in this offense due to dropped passes, Aaron Rodgers has again looked in his direction the past two weeks to great fortune. MVS has put up fabulous numbers to the tune of 41.2-points in half PPR and could see his role continue. There is always a risk, but he has boom appeal.

On the Radar:
Jalen Reagor (PHI) (26%)
Josh Reynolds (LAR) (5%)
Jakeem Grant (MIA) (6%)
Isaiah Wright (WAS) (0%)
Nelson Agholor (LVR) (25%)
Tim Patrick (DEN) (24%)
Willie Snead (BAL) (1%)
Richie James (SF) (5%)
Allen Lazard (GB) (42%)

Tight Ends:
Logan Thomas (WAS) (36%)
With the tight end position being the ultimate crapshoot again this season, some good value can be had with Washington’s Logan Thomas. Now possessing a very safe floor with Alex Smith as the quarterback, his ceiling in matchup play will be a welcomed sight when it hits. Facing the Bengals in week 11 – Thomas is one to look at.

Dalton Schultz (DAL) (16%)
The Cowboys are coming off the bye and will potentially have Andy Dalton back behind center. With that, the value of the receiving core goes up somewhat. Dalton Schultz is a player that has had a very safe floor the entire season and will again this week against the Vikings. His ownership stake has dropped off with third and fourth string passers behind center – but with Dalton back, Schultz will see an uptick.

Irv Smith (MIN) (7%)
Subsequently in speaking of the same contest between the Cowboys and the Vikings, Irv Smith gets a value uptick in this one. Even though Minnesota went completely away from this tight end last week, facing Dallas and their inept defense will allow scheming to take place – especially in the redzone. There is a giant risk to this pick up and play, but the value in scheme dynamics is off the charts. Don’t say we didn’t warn you if it comes to pass.

On the Radar:
Tyler Higbee (LAR) (53%)
Trey Burton (IND) (18%)
Greg Olsen (SEA) (11%)

Week 11 Defensive Streams:
New England (55%) vs Houston
LA Chargers (45%) vs NY Jets
Miami (59%) vs Denver
Minnesota (57%) vs Dallas
