Drew Lock (DEN) (20%)
We have been supporters of Drew Lock in the past and now the time has come to promote him further. It must be known that Lock has only played in 11 contests and the overall level of play is starting to take shape. Having another sound matchup on the docket – Lock could be a nice fill-in piece with a very safe floor.
The Miami Dolphins trusted their rookie passer to come in as the best chance to win games – and last week proved he’s up for the challenge. Looking very efficient verse the Cardinals, Tua Tagovailoa gets the Chargers leaky secondary in week 10. There is still some level of risk to this pickup and play – but the uptick is on the horizon.
With the season in crunch time for a lot of fantasy owners, Baker Mayfield coming off the bye week could be a nice fill-in option. However, Mayfield is currently in the leagues covid protocol and his availability is in question. If he does play this week, he could be a decent earner with Nick Chubb back in the lineup.
Kirk Cousins (MIN) (30%)
Derek Carr (LVR) (41%)
Jake Luton (JAX) (3%)
Philip Rivers (IND) (21%)
J.D McKissic (WAS) (26%)
If you didn’t secure the services of this running back last week, you will be in for a dog fight on the wire as he will be a top commodity. J.D McKissic has found new life in this Washington offense and that will be magnified with Alex Smith now again behind center. Smith is known to support the check down with high regularity, leaving McKissic a fabulous PPR earner and what could be a weekly flex option.
The New York Giants have found something in Wayne Gallman and have used him with high volume which has brought sound returns. In matchup play, Gallman is a great fill-in running back that should be rostered at this point as a bench stash with the possibility of finding his way into your lineup. The Giants offense is moving and this back is the clear lead.
The Ravens Mark Ingram is likely to remain on the shelf this week which will again lift the prospects of Gus Edwards in week 10. While a fumble did derail his overall point potential last week, the Ravens continue to get back to using the ground game as their primary source of offense. We still like Edwards a lot this week going up against the Patriots.
Everyone will be fighting to grab Kalen Ballage this week after his performance in week nine. While it did look promising with Justin Jackson finding his way into the medical room with a knee injury for Ballage to take his carries – we are cautiously optimistic his role might be a let down. While it’s a good pickup and play if Jackson is out, Joshua Kelley will still have a say for the lead in carries this week.
Duke Johnson (HOU) (17%)
Nyheim Hines (IND) (40%)
Jordan Wilkins (IND) (25%)
Jordan Howard (MIA) (33%)
Curtis Samuel (CAR) (31%)
Admittedly, we have been skid-ish on the Panthers Curtis Samuel amidst the better numbers he’s put up, but now we must take pause and recommend at least holding him on your bench. Having secured a good level of targets and ample production in those last three games, Samuel is a viable player at this point and could be a good matchup player moving forward.
Four of the last five games, Nelson Agholor has been very sound in putting up PPR points. Having scored a touchdown in all four of those contests, its clear the Raiders offense is moving well with this receiver seeing targets. There is a risk of a very low floor – but the flex appeal ceiling is also very strong.
Based on the lack of overall wide receiver depth, the Patriots Jakobi Meyers has proven to be a very reliable target for Cam Newton. Having seen 24-targets in the last two games, he is now extremely safe in terms of potential workload so long as others don’t return from the medical room. If the Patriots still have fewer options at the position this week – Meyers will again be peppered with targets. Tough matchup upcoming but volume will be here.
Coming off the bye week, the Eagles are getting healthier with each passing week and Jalen Reagor should be a very big piece of the puzzle. With Miles Sanders and Travis Fulgham likely to form this trio – the Eagles are a team that could become very high-octane for the remainder of the season. Reagor needs to be owned at this point as a wait and see with very strong potential.
Richie James (SF) (2%)
Darnell Mooney (CHI) (13%)
Tim Patrick (DEN) (21%)
Gabriel Davis (BUF) (1%)
Randall Cobb (HOU) (21%)
Allen Lazard (GB) (38%)
Dez Bryant (BAL) (26%)
Austin Hooper (CLE) (42%)
Coming off his appendectomy and missing a couple weeks of action, Austin Hooper should see his role increase in an offense that no longer has Odell Beckham Jr. The usage of the tight end position on this offense has seen an uptick in that regard and Hooper is ripe to steal targets starting this week. He is a good option.
The target share continues to be here for Washington’s tight end, and he will have a great matchup this week against the Lions. Washington will have Alex Smith behind center which is a positive for short passes overall. Logan Thomas has giant bust potential, but could be valuable in matchup play.
The injury issues continue to pile up for the 49ers, leaving Jordan Reed as a high potential fill-in player. The risk with Reed always rests in his own injury history, but with no one literally standing in his way for targets to the position – he could be in for a heavy workload this week. High risk, high reward follows him again.
Trey Burton (IND) (22%)
Darren Fells (HOU) (6%)
Greg Olsen (SEA) (14%)
Philadelphia (50%) vs NY Giants
