With week four upon us, this could be crunch time for some clubs desperately needing a victory. For others, resting in the driver seat is a luxury that could go by the wayside if the correct starts don’t continue. In game injuries continue to derail some fantasy teams leaving them with losses with no points on the board. Needless to say, week four is an important week to gain those wins and save those seasons, while challenging to get back into the playoffs. Follow us as we look at the best to play and sit this week.

START – GET THEM IN YOUR LINEUP
Quarterbacks:
Josh Allen
(BUF)
Being a safe
start these days, Josh Allen has become one of the best fantasy plays in all of
football. The progression has been on point yearly, and with the added weapons
on the offense – Allen looks to be chasing a top three finish at this point.
Facing the Raiders who are shorthanded due to injuries, Allen will be a top
flight point getter again.
Matt Ryan
(ATL)
The Atlanta
Falcons have been the most frustrating club this season in terms of overall
wins, but for fantasy production they haven’t disappointed. Matt Ryan took a
sidestep last week in not cracking the 15-point mark for the first time this season,
but a Monday night showdown with the Packers should bring back that prowess.
Even if Julio Jones sits again (injury) Ryan is a player we expect to get back
on track.
Running Backs:
David Johnson
(HOU)
We have preached
this on more than one occasion early this season, but getting past the first
three contests was the largest obstacle for this offense. Now, with much easier
competition on the horizon, the Texans should get the systems in sync and be
that team we believe then can be. David Johnson could see much more work in the
PPR game and an endzone trip is likely. We are confidant in him this week.
Kenyan Drake
(ARZ)
We haven’t been the biggest supporters of the Cardinals Kenyan Drake so far this season, but finding that ground game could be big this week. DeAndre Hopkins is a potential sit due to his ankle aliment, which would lift the run attack that much more. If there was any week for a running explosion, this is it.
Devin
Singletary (BUF)
Truly, this Bills
club is moving in the right direction and putting up massive points in the
process. Devin Singletary has started very slow, but showed he could be a great
earner when given the touches. Last week proved he is the best back on this
roster and Buffalo would be wise to keep including him in the game plan. Screen
passes continue to be a high priority in this offense, which hasn’t been the
normal in the past. Fire up this back with confidence.
Wide
Receivers:
Tyler Lockett
(SEA)
Having mentioned
our sustain for Tyler Lockett in the past, we have appropriately altered our
course and fully promote this wide receiver. Lockett has quietly become a star
in this league that no one talks about and we for one were in that camp. Now
coming around to his abilities and with how well Russell Wilson is playing –
this is a true slam-dunk play in week four. The points will come in bunches.
Andy Isabella
(ARZ)
This start recommendation
comes with some level of pause. Reports have surfaced that super star DeAndre Hopkins
could sit in this contest which would increase others on this core. Andy
Isabella has shown to have formed great chemistry with Kyler Murray and will
see many targets to come his way without Hopkins in the lineup. Watch that
injury report and play Isabella if D-Hop sits.
Tyler Boyd
(CIN)
With the Bengals
Joe Burrow tanking big steps in his development so far this season, the value
to this receiving core has be somewhat confusing. We all believed that a
healthy AJ Green would have a much larger role, but that hasn’t transpired.
Tyler Boyd has become the steady fixture along with rookie Tee Higgins. Facing
the Jaguars who hemorrhage points at the best of times – its likely Boyd has
another splendid day.
Tight Ends:
TJ Hockenson
(DET)
Thus far, the
Lions TJ Hockenson hasn’t been that player we expected. Nevertheless, improvement
in target share has been there and could explode this week. The Saints gave up
heaping amounts of production to the tight end position a couple weeks prior to
Darren Waller and is a clear weakness on this defense. If Hockenson can find those
holes, Stafford would be well advised to take advantage.
Dalton Schultz
(DAL)
The Dallas
Cowboys are one of these teams that we can fire up as many offensive weapons as
possible and get some form of earnings. Dalton Schultz is one of these players
who is a forgotten commodity as all other talents take the main coverage
packages. Schultz will again find himself touchdown dependant, but will
generate target share in the best situations. The floor is becoming safer, but
the celling is very high.
SIT – LEAVE THEM ON THE BENCH
Quarterbacks:
Carson Wentz
(PHI)
At this point,
how can we trust anything that comes from this Philly offense? Carson Wentz has
played poorly but that can also be attributed to the limitations on the O-Line.
Having Miles Sanders back for support is a massive piece, but the injures to
the receiving core will again pose the greater issue for Wentz. We are staying far
away this week.
Phillip Rivers
(IND)
Admittedly, we
have been supporters of Phillip Rivers with the Colts, but now, we must take a
step back. Not having built any chemistry with his receivers just yet, the
overall production hasn’t been seen. Indy continues to feed the ground game and
that should again be the case verse the Bears. Until we see progression with
the pass catchers – this is an easy bench.
Running
Backs:
Ronald Jones
(TB)
Typically, when
one player goes down to injury, the others will get a lift. In this case, we can’t
support playing Ronald Jones simply because Leonard Fournette will sit out. The
Buccaneers are a team that haven’t shown dedication to the ground game and we can’t
envision that changing this week. The Chargers are a club that hold strong
verse the run and will make life tough on Jones. Under ten points should be
common unless a touchdown is found.
Myles Gaskin
(MIA)
Somewhere along
the lines, the Miami Dolphins have made Myles Gaskin their starter, leaving
Jordan Howard and Matt Breida an afterthought. Facing the Seattle Seahawks and
their high-powered offense, the Fins will be forced to abandon the run game
which will leave this play in jeopardy. Gaskin was a risky play to begin with,
but we can’t see this going well whatsoever.
Joe Mixon (CIN)
It comes with
much reservation to recommend sitting Joe Mixon, but we literally have no
choice. Understanding that a high draft pick was used to secure his services, it
has come time to bench him until points begin to flow. Facing the Jaguars would
warrant the suggestion to start, and we fully understand the play – but how
much can we sit and wait for points to happen. If you must play Mixon, play
with heavy caution.
Wide
Receivers:
Terry McLaurin
(WAS)
Coming into the
league, Terry McLaurin was a favorite of ours and still remains that way, unfortunately
for his outlook this week, Scary-Terry needs to sit on the bench. From the upside
perspective, the target share is always here, but the way in which Dwyane
Haskins has been playing, it truly isn’t great. Facing the Ravens who will be
hot to rectify what happened last week – garbage time points are the only thing
that will save him this week.
Will Fuller
(HOU)
At this point, we
cannot trust the Texans Will Fuller in any way. If healthy, Fuller is a dynamo
that will cause defenses to take notice, but dealing with an injured hamstring
is the largest concern. We witnessed that occur in week two where he played on
that hamstring and didn’t receive a catch. This could be another decoy
situation we aren’t ready to gamble on.
AJ Green (CIN)
When AJ Green was
given the green light entering the season to return to his normal role, we had
visions he would get back to natural levels of play with Joe Burrow. While that
hasn’t occurred just yet, we must sit him on the bench until it becomes a realization.
Green has looked good in his routes and cuts, but hasn’t been on the same page
with his quarterback. He could breakout this week against the Jags, but we’ll play
it safe.
Tight Ends:
Evan Engram
(NYG)
It has come to
the point that Evan Engram will continue to sit on our bench until the Giants
prove they plan to use his services. Even though the matchup looks appealing against
the Rams who give up good numbers to the position – we will not endorse this
start until more is provided.
Hunter Henry
(LAC)
It may sound
strange for us to suggest sitting the Chargers Hunter Henry given the amount of
praise we pushed for rookie Justin Herbert. This young passer has proven to
support all his players and Henry will continue to see that uptick. With that said,
this week has great fear attached as the Buccaneers defense is solid and will
make life hard on Herbert. Henry may be steady, but we’ll error on the side of
caution. Not a must bench, but definitely worrisome.
POTENTIAL
BIG DAY – ALL ABOUT THE RISK/REWARD
Quarterbacks:
Jared Goff
(LAR)
The way in which
the Rams have been playing in establishing the run to set up the pass, Jared
Goff has played beautifully so far this season, as week two and three have
proven they are back to their old ways. Facing the Giants and their absolutely
horrific defense – this is the day we feel the most comfortable to lock him
into our lineups.
Joe Burrow
(CIN)
Its difficult to
not be excited about the prospects of Joe Burrow being a fantasy star. So far
this season he has taken the bull by the horns and isn’t wavering whatsoever.
The coaching staff is allowing Burrow to throw his way out of trouble which in
the end comes with glorious point production. Facing his easiest competition to
date – this could be the coming out part we were looking for.
Running
Backs:
David
Montgomery (CHI)
The Bears David
Montgomery has been something of an enigma to start his career, but as we look
to week four – excitement is rising. Tarik Cohen has been placed on the injured
reserve and is out for the season, leaving nothing to stand in Monty’s way to
be that lead dog. Facing the Colts and their improving defense, and Nick Foles
now the starter, we could see the Bears change direction and have more
dedication to the run. We should see a touchdown this week.
Darrell
Henderson (LAR)
Even though it is
super early, the Rams Darrell Henderson could be a league winner off the waiver
for many clubs. Henderson has proven to be very quick and punishing, which is a
great sign for this Rams offense. Coach McVay prides himself on setting up the play
action pass and that has improved the overall outlook of Jared Goff’s game.
Henderson is a no brainer start, but should have a massive day.
Carols Hyde
(SEA)
Heading into the
week, the potential for Carlos Hyde to be a thing was front and center. Now with
news that Chris Carson is likely to suit up and play this week, Hyde takes a
back seat, or does he? This will be the riskiest play we will ever promote, but
hear us out. Playing the Dolphins, which should get out of hand early, what
would benefit the Seahawks to play Carson at less than 100%. Hyde will still
have a great opportunity to earn points in winning garbage time to kill the
clock in the process. With all the injuries to running backs, Hyde could be
that massive lift we all require. Astronomical risk here, but potential is on
the docket.
Wide
Receivers:
Robby Anderson
(CAR)
It shouldn’t have
come with shock to most, as this Panthers offense is now predicated upon the
deep pass with Matt Rhule and Joe Brady running things. We had grave concern in
the offseason that Teddy Bridgewater couldn’t support all the pieces on this
offense, but the deep shot truly wasn’t one of them. Robby Anderson has found
new life in Carolina and should be in your lineup this week against the
Cardinals weaker pass defense.
Brandin Cooks
(HOU)
Yes, we fully understand
that Brandin Cooks has laid an egg in terms of fantasy production this season,
but, much like the David Johnson evaluation – things will be changing. With a much
easier slate of games on the horizon, Cooks should be used far more than we’ve
seen. Facing the Vikings who struggle to cover anyone – Cooks breakout 2020
should be seen this week. There is risk, but great reward is high.
Odell Beckham
(CLE)
Nothing brings
out the star-studded performances like facing other stars at the position.
Odell Beckham will be up against Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb
this week for bragging rights and will come to play. Beckham and this pass
attack have been less than impressive thus far, but going up against the
Cowboys and their leaky secondary, this could change. Cleveland will be forced
to throw more this week, trying to keep pace with Dak Prescott and the Cowboys.
Beckham should be used a lot to generate points and keep the score close. Stars
play hard verse other stars.
Tight Ends:
Mo Alie-Cox
(IND)
As we stand today,
Phillip Rivers has shown to utilize his running backs and tight ends the most
in this offense. Moving up the latter has been Mo Alie-Cox, who has similar traits
of former Rivers teammate Antonio Gates. Not to say Alie-Cox is Gates – but the
system to feed the position is exactly on point. Facing the Bears defense who possess
holes, Alie-Cox could find his way back in the endzone this week.
Tyler Eifert (JAX)
Everyone say it
with me – revenge game! The Jaguars Tyler Eifert has shown to have a good level
of involvement so far this season and will be geared up to go against his
former club. Jacksonville has found some good levels of offense so far this season
and should use Eifert in all redzone and goal line opportunities. There is risk,
but could come with great reward.
