NFL WEEK 13 – Predictions (Projected odds makers @ Nov.29.2019
– 12:00PM EST)
Sunday Dec.1
Tennessee @ Indianapolis (Favorite)
Caesars -2.5

With the Titans coming off
a monster win last week verse the Jaguars, this week they travel to face a banged-up
Colts team. TY Hilton has already been ruled out of the contest and
Indianapolis still doesn’t have the services of Marlon Mack. To potentially
even out players to the medical room, Derrick Henry has also jumped onto the
injury report and is uncertain to play.
With that said, we could
see a lot more passes thrown in the direction of AJ Brown and Corey Davis to
help supplant the loss of Henry. With how well Ryan Tannehill has played, we
like the odds of Tennessee walking in and stealing this one. We’ll bite here.

This matchup is one of many
between clubs that will no longer have any form of playoff aspiration. The Jets
have improved their play of late making them a more prolific offensive unit.
Coach Adam Gase has clearly adjusted his approach and has this team moving in
the right direction to build on for next season.
The Bengals on the other
hand are going back to Andy Dalton in hopes to perform better. Cincinnati is
clearly in the diver seat to obtain the first overall pick in next year’s
draft, and winning here would do them no favors for that goal. Dalton may bring
more to the table, but the Jets should roll with ease.

As we mentioned, many
lopsided contests rest on the week 13 slate and this one easily falls into this
category. The Redskins take travel to Carolina to face Christian McCaffrey and
the Panthers. While in the onset this spread appears to be rather large, the
Redskins shouldn’t have a great deal of effort for a full 60 minutes.
Typically, we like to avoid
large lines such as these, but given how McCaffrey has played all season, he
should be on a warpath of statistical achievement. The fear here is that it
could be ruined late, but with home field advantage on their side, we’ll jump
on the CMC wagon to victory here.

This is the obvious game of
the week and we are surprised it wasn’t being flexed to prime time. The Ravens
are coming off a monster showing displacing the LA Rams with distinction and
face the high-flying 49ers. While San Francisco has played extremely well this
season, even they haven’t come across the talents of Lamar Jackson.
While Jackson has been
nothing short of absolutely spectacular and unstoppable this year, the 49ers
just might have the defensive line to stop this high-octane unit. The key is
clearly keeping Jackson from making plays with his legs keeping him one dimensional.
While the defense will have their hands full, Jimmy Garoppolo will have to move
the ball on the stout Ravens defense. At this point how can we bet against the
Ravens and how they’ve played of late. It could be closer than the line
indicates, but we shall gamble here.

Yet another game that has
zero playoff implications, the game will be simply for respect and playing for
jobs next season. The Jaguars will have to see what they have in Nick Foles and
if they believe he is indeed the answer after singing that massive free agent
contract.
The Buccaneers on the other
have been moving the ball very well on offense but turnovers have ruined their
campaign overall. If Jameis Winston can manage to keep the ball from the
opposing club, Tampa Bay could actually be a very sound team. Nevertheless,
basically no travel will be had here, and the Bucs are the better team overall
right now.

This game should be something
of a tune-up for the Packers and they truly require a game filled with
offensive output. Aaron Rodgers and the Pack haven’t been at their best so far
this season as they still try to organize the full system of the playbook. We
fully expect a run heavy approach with many deep shots to expose this Giants
club.
The Giants on the other
hand will try their best to keep this one interesting, but it shouldn’t be much
to watch after half time. Saquon Barkley appears to have packed it in for the
year in hopes to not suffer another injury. Green Bay will get what they
require and that is a victory with great execution.

If you thought we were
lying about the games filling the slate with lopsided matchups, here is one
more for us to consider. While the Eagles have been decimated by injury on the
offensive side, they should get Alshon Jeffery back to help the situation.
Taking travel to Miami
could be seen as something of a problem, the Eagles should have more than
enough to win and cover. Miami will attempt their best, but Philly has a front
seven that will make for a very rough day for Ryan Fitzpatrick.

This game provided a little
bit of head scratching as we deliberated the potential outcome. The Kansas City
Chiefs haven’t been the best image of themselves for the most part this season
and face a divisional matchup that could bring with it some problems. Being
played in the comfortable confines of Arrowhead stadium, we realized we are
overthinking the issue.
The Raiders are coming off
a contest where they were embarrassed by the Jets and will look to regroup.
Needless to say, we can’t envision any situation where Patrick Mahomes doesn’t
dissect this defense and make them pay. Another large spread that could be
ruined late, we shall conform with the Chiefs coming off the bye.

While the Cardinals are
coming off the bye week and the Rams are still licking their wounds form last
Monday Night verse the Ravens, we also looked at this contest with open eyes.
The Cards are a team that have seen much improvement as the season has moved
forward but face what could be an angry Rams team.
This game will go two ways
for the Rams, either they come out firing to prove then can be the club they
were, or they will continue to be nonexistent on offense – there will be no in
between. Everything inside us suggests to take the Cardinals at home for the
upset, but the Rams are the better overall club.

These two teams met a
couple weeks ago to what turned into Monday Night fight club. The Browns have
looked much better of late and are still alive in the playoff hunt. Pittsburgh
has remained alive with the play of their defense and may get a James Conner back
for this matchup.
With that said, it appears
the Browns have adjusted their approach around the same time Kareem Hunt
returned from suspension. Cleveland has played more inspired and should be able
to compete against the quarterback play of Devlin Hodges. With the Steelers
defense taking a nap these past couple weeks, we’ll side with the charging
Browns.

With both teams on the
outside looking in, the Chargers still have more to play for needing to run the
table to have any shot at a wildcard spot. Taking travel to Denver to face the
lowly Broncos, this game will be seen as the Denver defense verse the Charger
offense.
While we try to not fully
discount the play of Brandon Allen, he hasn’t been horrible and has seen some
level of success upon taking over as the team starter. Playing at home is
always a welcomed sight, and this too could become an upset. We are fighting to
not side with Denver here but are quick to come back to rational thought.

As we sat and reviewed all
possible outcomes based on matchup play, this contest provides a great level of
intrigue to say the least. The Houston Texans haven’t been the same team for
the duration of the year thus far showing great ups and downs in the process.
Facing the mighty Patriots defense this week at home, we do feel they could be
ready to play on Sunday Night.
With that said, the
Patriots continue to roll and will always find new ways to win each and every
week. Last week verse the Cowboys was a complete wash due in part to horrible
weather. In our mind the Texans should try and mimic the formula set to beat
the Pats given from the Ravens. Deshaun Watson can run the ball with the best
in the business and should exploit the defense that way. The Patriots could
again find a way to win, but the score will be less than what the spread
indicates.

Monday Night Football has
provided many fantastic matchups this season and we again will be treated to
another great one. This time the Vikings are coming off the bye and will take
travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks. Back in week 11, Minnesota found a
tough time in establishing the ground attack, but this should be a great
showing for super star Dalvin Cook. Kirk Cousins will play the game manager
role to not give the game away with turnovers.
When it comes to the Hawks,
Russell Wilson has been an absolute machine in his own right and will be put to
task verse a very strong Vikings defense. Even though Minnesota can be prone to
giving up a lot of yards, points are usually hard to come by. Seattle will also
establish the run with Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny could steal carries, but the
ground attack will be just as important for the Hawks. This game will come down
to the wire and we could easily envision a one- or two-point game. A shear
classic is on the docket on Monday Night.
