PLACE YOUR BETS!!! While last week didn’t
contain a great deal of success, it was the anomaly over what we’ve been able
to accomplish so far this season. Granted, going 3-11 for the week is a true
trash bin outcome, the NFL has moments of confusion and week nine was one of
those weeks.
Heading into week 10, we have a giant chip on our
shoulder to regain our picking prowess to secure majority victories for the week.
While we did stumble, the winnings provided so far this season did in fact
offset. With the competitor picks @SojashPicks finding good fortune in three
more contests, we both look to improve. Let’s get to it, good luck.

Admittedly, our record on Thursday Night Football has been nothing
short of an abomination as we continue to struggle to find the winner on short
weeks. This week we kick off with the Chargers taking travel to Oakland to face
the flying Raiders. Both clubs are coming off sound victories, but perhaps the
Chargers game should be viewed as more impressive.
Phillip Rivers and the gang tend to always start slow then find some
form of magic to win games keeping them alive in the playoff race. The Raiders
on the other hand have found something special in their rookie running back
Josh Jacobs and will force the issue. Vegas is purely riding the thought of
last week that the Raiders are for real, we aren’t overly convinced just yet.

The Baltimore Ravens indeed came to play on Sunday Night Football
displacing the Patriots with clear distinction. Lamar Jackson was electric and
decisive proving he is worthy of being called a star. While the Ravens are
built perfectly to beat the mighty Pats defense, controlling the clock while
running the ball is the offensive scheme.
Facing the lowly Bengals this week who are coming off the bye,
fear is the Ravens could have something of a letdown verse a weaker squad. The
Bengals will be testing their rookie passer in week 10 after benching Andy
Dalton for the first time in his career. Even with the possibilities of
Cincinnati finding some positives, they will be clearly out matched.

While the notion is very true, the Buffalo Bills six
victories have come at the hands of inadequate opposition, the two losses were
at the hands of viable teams - New England & Philadelphia. Taking travel to
face off against a Browns team that have grave dysfunction on both sides of the
ball, one wonders how Vegas could be supportive of the Browns.
Baker Mayfield has had little time in the pocket and
continues to struggle to find his talented pass catchers. While Nick Chubb and
Kareem Hunt will be the vocal points offensively verse a spotty Bills run
defense, there should be enough to stop an offensive on slot. If Josh Allen can
play mistake free football, the Bills chances increase exponentially, and we
feel he should have a very sound game. This one will be tight, but Vegas is
baiting hard for this one.

Nothing was more confusing than watching the Green Bay
Packers lay an absolute egg last week to the LA Chargers. Not even showing up
to preform, the Pack had their butts handed to them. With a new week upon us,
Vegas is siding with the fact that things always look better at home. Aaron
Rodgers will look to be better this week with the offense getting back to the
ground game.
The Panthers have been rolling since Cam Newton was
lost to injury, and Kyle Allen along with potential NFL MVP (Christian
McCaffrey), the future looks bright. Our only issue when evaluating the
Panthers rests in what type of performance will Allen provide? When he looks
tentative, his throws and decision making suffer. Nevertheless, Green Bay has
large issue on defense and McCaffrey should be able to run wild. This will be a
closer game then what’s indicated.

With Drew Brees back in the fold, and Alvin Kamara looking on the
right side of playing in this contest, the Saints have a home date with the
lost Atlanta Falcons. Understanding that Matt Ryan is still dealing with an
ankle injury, he too looks to be on the correct side to suit up.
Let’s not kid ourselves, the Saints are a team that in our minds
is the NFC favorite (at the moment) to go to the Super Bowl. Not only is the
offense high producing, the defense is a massive issue to deal with. The Saints
will have no issue winning this matchup, but we truly don’t like the spread.
Atlanta still holds a very good offense that will put up points with Julio
Jones and company. Even if the Saints jump out big early, this spread will be
killed late.

This is a very interesting initial spread to say the least. The
Bears have been nothing short of a giant disappointment this season, but still
hold a very solid defensive group. While they can’t seem to get out of their
own way offensively, they have a great matchup against a Lions defense that is hemorrhaging
points and yards.
The Lions on the other hand do hold a very explosive offense that
is very exciting to watch. Still having big issues finding anything to resemble
a run attack, Matthew Stafford will again have to be at his best. While we understand
this contest is being playing in Chicago and the Lions dropped a winnable event
last went in Oakland, we wonder if they can muster enough verse the Bears. We’ll
gamble here believing it will be a one point game either way.

The garbage bowl in New York between two teams that
just haven’t figured things out to this point will be underwhelming. While we
are being a little rough in respects to the Giants, they haven’t been overly
terrible with Daniel Jones leading the way. Saquon Barkley should have a very
large role to obtain the lead while holding the clock.
The Jets on the other hand seem to have massive
problems with not only play calling, but the confidence of their quarterback
Sam Darnold. With LeVeon Bell nursing an injured knee, we truly wonder how they
will compete. The battle of New York won’t be anything overly exciting, but the
Big-Blue should hold the keys to the city this year.

With Patrick Mahomes taking full practice on Wednesday and looking
to suit up for this week 10 matchup, Vegas is jumping back on board that the
Chiefs will pick up where they left off. Taking travel to Tennessee to face the
Titans, we don’t have much concern that Kansas City will take care of business.
Ryan Tannehill and the Titans looked out-classed and out-matched
last week in Carolina losing in ugly fashion. Trying to make things
respectable, they came on late to make the scoreboard look better. The Titans
defense has lost players to injury and will be without Malcolm Butler which
will leave them hamstrung. We are betting that Mahomes plays and we’ll gladly
take the points here.

The Cardinals have been a club that has seen both
tribulation and great progression so far this season. Rookie quarterback Kyler
Murray has proven to be a star in the making and will have a great opportunity
to make things happen here. This spread has been created to place doubt in the
minds of the betting public, and we too took pause when evaluating.
The Buccaneers proved yet again they could move the
ball with great efficiency on the Seahawks almost coming away with the victory.
Nevertheless, Tampa Bay continues to lose contests even with solid offensive
output. The Cardinals should be ready to complete, and should keep it close.

The Colts are coming off a huge loss last week by the missed field
goal of future hall of famer Adam Vinateri. The Colts may get Jacoby Brissett
back for this contest, but no official word has been noted. Brian Hoyer would
get the start in relief and proved he could move the ball last week.
The Dolphins pursuit in tanking for the first overall pick was displaced
when they dominated the Jets a week prior. As bad as the Fins roster is as a
whole, Ryan Fitzpatrick has continued to move the ball to at least give his
team a shot. Potentially no Brissett and no TY Hilton for this match, we find
it difficult to see a monster spread like this being covered.

Coming off the bye week and looking to improve their
ways on both sides of the field, the Rams take their talents to Pittsburgh to
face the uneven Steelers. The Rams clearly haven’t been that unstoppable force
which was last season, but they have a great opportunity to reassert
themselves. Brandin Cooks will be out for this contest which will limit the
deep shot for Jared Goff. Wondering if they will find greener pastures, the
Rams truly need a sound game overall from everyone.
When reviewing the Steelers, Mason Rudolph continues
to learn on the fly while the offensive system is being tailored to his abilities.
While we can’t envision a situation where the Rams defense won’t make stops for
majority of the game, it’s the Steelers defense themselves that has turned the
corner. Minkah Fitzpatrick has been unbelievable since being traded to
Pittsburgh and will be tested hard in this one. Either way, Rudolph won’t have
near enough to keep this a contest.

Once again, Sunday Night Football will treat us with a tasty
showing when the Vikings take travel to Dallas. The Cowboys have been up and
down this season and are coming off an uninspired performance verse the Giants
on Monday Night. We would’ve liked to have seen more domination from the Boys, especially
coming off the bye.
While the Vikings seem to have corrected their offensive issues,
the defense has taken a step back giving up chunk plays and points in the
process. Being challenged again this week, finding a way to stop Zeke Elliott
will be priority number one. Establishing the run with Dalvin Cook shouldn’t be
a tough task, and we should see Minnesota take charge. We aren’t sold on Dallas
being a top dog just yet.

Closing out week 10 with an absolute dandy on Monday
Night Football, the undefeated 49ers host the extreme talent of Russell Wilson.
Wilson in his own right is challenging for NFL MVP honors so far this season,
and we really struggle with how the line is set for this contest also. While
the Hawks had a hiccup last week verse the Bucs, they are no slouch in their
own right. Wilson and Chris Carson will give the 49ers a clear run for their
money.
The largest concern for us for the 49ers rests with
the loss of Kwon Alexander. Not having that stout middle linebacker presence to
help aid the middle, we could see the Hawks take advantage. There is no
question that Wilson will be under duress with pressure from this fabulous
defensive line, he will make plays to keep it close if not win outright.
