The
time has come to finalize your roster in hopes to make the fantasy playoffs.
Typically, we recommend starting the players that got you here, but with that,
there is always opportunity to improve.
We
all know how thin the wavier wire has become, but still a few solid names grace
the market and are ripe for the picking. Based on the lack of elite talent on
this list, these players would strictly be used for matchup appeal over
potential output. Nevertheless, we have some names that could help bring you
over the top in search of that coveted trophy. Let’s get to it!

Quarterbacks:
Sam
Darnold (NYJ) (39%)
Heading into week 13, Sam Darnold and the Jets seem
to be moving in the right direction from a building perspective and playing
much better football. It definitely helps seeing the schedule become more
favorable and the Jets have yet another weaker opponent on the docket. If you’re
stuck or want an upgrade, Darnold verse the Bengals will be the answer.
Ryan
Tannehill (TEN) (26%)
Since taking over for Marcus Mariota, Ryan Tannehill
has elevated this offense to be playing far better than we’ve seen in recent history.
Not scoring less than 20-fantasy points over his last five games and hitting a
ceiling of nearly 35-points, Tannehill should again bring enough to compete
this week. His fantasy floor looks to have been set and will continue to play
good football.
Kyle
Allen (CAR) (18%)
The
Panthers Kyle Allen should be seen as a lesser product this week, but still continues
to move the ball effectively. Coming off a sound showing last week at the
Saints, this week’s matchup should bring with it more positivity. Facing the
Redskins at home should be a welcomed sight if you need a passer for this final
week of the fantasy season.

Backs:
Rashaad
Penny (SEA) (20%)
A man we’ve thrown a great level of support to in
the past, Rashaad Penny looks to have finally broken the gates and could become
a viable player in this Seahawks offense. Granted, we still believe that Chris
Carson will hold the keys to the car and be the main driver, Penny has at least
proven to steal some of the work as the year moves forward. Starting him is
still something of a toss-up, but having him on your roster heading into the
playoffs isn’t a bad thing.
Bo
Scarbrough (DET) (43%)
Much like last week, the Lions newest running back
again showed that he is more than capable to carry the load on the ground for
this club. Having a very difficult task this week on Thanksgiving Day verse the
Bears and their solid defense, he is still worth a shot to plug and play if
your running back situation is meek. We like Scarbrough more in the flex spot,
but either way, he will be leaned upon and the touches will be here.
Benny
Snell (PIT) (6%)
With
the uncertainty of James Conner coming back to the lineup this week, the
Steelers have finally allowed Benny Snell to touch the ball. If Conner does sit
once again, Snell would definitely be used to help move this ground game for
the Steelers. Facing the Cleveland Browns in a must win contest, we could see a
good level of volume come his way.

Receivers:
AJ
Brown (TEN) (16%)
When the Titans drafted AJ Brown, we felt sick to
our stomach because we knew his talents would be wasted with Marcus Mariota.
Now with Tannehill behind center, and clearly the coaching staff has opened the
playbook to involve the rookie much more, happiness has returned. Brown is a
sensational talent that should earn more targets with each passing week and
should be held at least on your bench for insurance purposes.
Randall
Cobb (DAL) (30%)
As
the Dallas Cowboys continue to push for the division lead, Randall Cobb’s role
has increased and rightfully so. The Cowboys coaching staff needed to utilize
everyone on this offense to become successful, and spreading the ball in the
pass game to Cobb has been a great change. Cobb has been no stranger to PPR points
and will continue to be a big part of the system. Playing the Bills this week
who lock down receivers with the best in the business, over the middle shots to
Cobb will be a priority. Cobb should have a safe PPR floor this week.
Russell
Gage (ATL) (3%)
We
have recommended the Falcons Russell Gage ever since Mohamed Sanu was traded to
the Patriots. The Falcons offense requires that slot presence and Gage has
filled in quite nicely. Opposing defenses have their hands full with Julio
Jones and Calvin Ridley on a weekly basis, leaving Gage to feast when given the
chance. His floor can be very low, but has solid PPR upside.

Tight-Ends:
Ryan
Griffin (NYG) (44%)
If you didn’t listen last week, this will be the last
shot to grab the Jets tight end Ryan Griffin off the market heading into the
playoffs. Tight end has been an absolute nightmare again this season, but
touchdown upside rests here with Griffin. The Jets have adjusted their offense
to be more multidimensional and Griffin has a clear role. He is a sound plug in
player at the position.
Jack
Doyle (IND) (33%)
With
news that Eric Ebron has been lost for the season to ankle issues, the next man
up in this offense should be Jack Doyle. While he hasn’t been used as much as
in the past, the Colts remain a run heavy team relying on their tight ends to
remain on the field. The snap counts will definitely increase for Doyle moving
forward, but the target share is still a question mark. With that said, Doyle
is now the starter with decent potential.
