Quarterbacks:
Kyler
Murray (ARZ)
In a week
full up with players on the bye, the Cardinals Kyler Murray us the perfect fill
in quarterback. If you’ve been holding him on your roster for this week in
particular, get ready for it to pay off. The Cards have been moving in the
right direction and Arizona has a tasty matchup verse the Buccaneers. Granted
the Bucs have a sound run defense, Murray should be forced to throw early and
often. We like the potential this week.
Jameis
Winston (TB)
Coincidently,
the quarterback playing across from Kyler Murray should too have another sound
showing. Jameis Winston has again lifted his level of play and will again find
his way to be a must start in week 10. Showcasing the arm talent while not
making many mistakes last week, the potential for high end statistics is real
once again.
Running Backs:
Much like
last week, we are all in on the Bears rookie to have another sound fantasy
performance. We have been saying to secure the services of David Montgomery
(via trade) for weeks now, and it’s all coming to light. The schedule in terms
of matchup is extremely favorable and will carry your club to green pastures.
Facing the Lions who struggle on the best days verse the run, Monty will again
be a welcome sight.
Marlon
Mack (IND)
This is
perhaps the no-brainer of the week start, but still being inclined to show who
the best starts are in week 10, Marlon Mack has a glorious opportunity. Facing
the Dolphins who haven’t looked horrible these past couple weeks, Mack will be
leaned upon with Jacoby Brissett being ruled out. Even if Brian Hoyer plays solid,
Mack will have a very large role.
Damien
Williams (KC)
Back from
the fantasy dog house, the Chiefs Damien Williams could again be used a great
deal this week. LeSean McCoy and his ball security issues has again lifted the
talents of Williams to have another solid day. Facing the Titans who continue
to lose players on the defensive side, we should see the lion’s share of work
coming to this running back. There is a risk here, but should pay off.
Wide Receivers:
Simply
because of circumstance, Zach Pascal is a player to start in week 10 with
target share preparing to be plentiful. With TY Hilton ruled out for this
matchup, and the Fins not having any viable defensive backs to lock down
receivers for a full 60 minutes, Pascal will be called upon a lot and will
again deliver. Outside of the fear double teams could be the staple, we still
love the matchup.
Robert
Woods (LAR)
Coming off
the bye week in hopes to regain that killer instinct, the Rams will be without
Brandin Cooks and will lean upon Robert Woods once again. While we see a
transition in this offense to feature Cooper Kupp more often, this will be the
day Woods gets back to good graces. Most surprising is that Woods is yet to
find the endzone in 2019, this will be the day he finds pay dirt.
Golden
Tate (NYG)
When Golden
Tate signed on with the Giants in free agency, we absolutely loved the
potential and will preach it hard this week. Facing the Jets in a battle of New
York, Tate will again be the feature piece in the pass game without Sterling
Shepard and potentially Evan Engram to injury. PPR points will again be the
constant, but perhaps we see Tate find the endzone.
Tight-Ends:
While the
tight end position continues to be a giant nightmare for most, Jason Witten has
again found the fortitude to be relevant in this Cowboys offense. When the Boys
require a third down conversion or to pull the defense from one side, Witten
has been very reliable. Facing the Vikings on Sunday Night should bring with it
another good PPR day.
SIT - LEAVE THEM ON THE BENCH
As the
Browns continue to drop contests, Backer Mayfield appears to have lost all
confidence in the process. His inaccuracy has been a huge surprise this season
as he clearly has taken a step back. Facing the Bills stout pass defense, we
can see another difficult outing here. Stay away from Mayfield until things get
better.
Mason
Rudolph (PIT)
While bye
weeks do pose a problem on who to play in many positions, the play of the
Steelers Mason Rudolph isn’t recommended in week 10. Facing the Rams coming off
the bye week, there is no question a solid game plan is on the docket from the
Rams defense. Pittsburgh will be without James Conner again, which isn’t a
great sign for this pass attack.
Running Backs:
While we
understand this is more of a cautionary sit rather than a must bench. The
Saints defense is an extremely solid group that will make it devastatingly
difficult for Freeman to get loose. With Matt Ryan back and ready to suit up
after missing the previous contest, check downs and dump offs should at least
save his overall day. It will be tough sledding for Freeman in week 10.
Frank
Gore (BUF)
With the
emergence of the Bills rookie Devin Singletary, Frank Gore has already taken a
backseat and will continue. Playing the role of providing a breather for his
teammate, Gore’s fantasy value is plummeting each week. Buffalo has seen enough
to provide their rookie more touches. Move on from Gore this week even on a
heavy bye.
Kalen
Ballage (MIA)
The Dolphins
have lost Mark Walton to suspension leaving the backfield in shambles, well,
even more. Kalen Ballage had hopes to be a producer in the past, but hasn’t
been able to muster anything of value. Granted the volume in touches may be on
his side this week, we feel the coaching staff will have a short leash on him.
Not worth the risk unless you have no choice.
Wide Receivers:
At this
point, how can anyone trust the pass game from the Chicago Bears? Allen
Robinson has done a splendid job this season with subpar passing from Mitchell
Trubisky, but this week we don’t like the odds. Even though the Lions give up
sound numbers through the air, the risk radar is far too large. Robinson could
get lucky and find the endzone, but we aren’t willing to chance this
either.
Tyler
Boyd (CIN)
As the
Bengals move ahead without Andy Dalton as their starting quarterback, they have
placed the ball in the hands of Ryan Finley to see what he can do. At the
expense of all the players on this team, this pass attack should be in for a
very difficult contest. The Ravens are proving to be a top contender in the
AFC, and leaving a young quarterback to produce surly won’t transpire. Boyd
will be a massive letdown.
Corey
Davis (TEN)
Jumping back
on the Corey Davis band wagon a couple weeks ago, we are once again jumping
right off. Even with Ryan Tannehill placed as the team’s starting quarterback
and lifting the perspectives, Davis continues to underwhelm. We can’t say
anything positive and will stay away for the long haul. His teammate AJ Brown
is the player to own. Keep Davis riding the pine.
Tight-Ends:
While we
admit, we have still placed optimism on the Packers Jimmy Graham to be a player
in this offense, we can no longer place trust his way. Anything in the form of
targets and production is truly a dart throw each week, and starting him on
your roster should only be done in complete desperation. His good days are
clearly behind him.
POTENTIAL BIG DAY – ALL ABOUT THE RISK/REWARD
Quarterbacks:
Nothing like
Ryan Fitz-magic to again find his way onto the field. The Miami Dolphins have
tried their best to compete as of late, and Fitzpatrick has been the key.
Having displaced the Jets while putting up nearly 30-fantasy points a week
prior, the potential for Fitzpatrick to gain 20-plus is very real on the Colts.
If you are desperate for a passer this week, welcome back Fitz-magic.
Jimmy
Garoppolo (SF)
The 49ers
are the leagues last unbeaten club and will be put to the test when they face
the Seahawks on Monday Night. Jimmy Garoppolo had something of a coming out
party last week throwing four touchdowns and looking polished in the process. Facing
Russell Wilson should bring great entertainment and we could see another
special night. Potential is very high once again.
Running Backs:
Our goal
rests to find players that will produce the most each and every week. While
Mark Ingram has become a staple in the fantasy community, this week has our
mouth watering. Facing the Bengals and their dysfunction should be an easy
task, and leading the charge will be Ingram. With news that Lamar Jackson is
dealing with a cold or flu type symptoms, we should witness more emphasis on
Ingram carrying the load.
Devin
Singletary (BUF)
Finally, the
time has come to see the Bills impressive rookie running back Devin Singletary
take the lead. Having dominated the touches last week, he proved to be ready
for more. The Bills have an interesting matchup against the struggling Browns
which could bring with it sound achievements. Buffalo should ride the run game
and Singletary could be a big play on Sunday.
Tevin
Coleman (SF)
Following up
his fabulous four touchdown performance with something of a dud last week, the
49ers will again look to Tevin Coleman to be that feature back. Playing the
Seahawks in a very important divisional contest, Coleman and Matt Breida should
have a very strong role. We like the odds of another sound day here.
Wide Receivers:
With the
Bills defense showing great ability on the backend, one may wonder why we feel
Jarvis Landry could be in for a big day. Simply put, the Bills will key in on
stopping Odell Beckham Jr from wreaking havoc with extra attention, leaving
Landry to be the go-to target. There is good potential that the Browns take
advantage of sluggish Bills run defense first, and use the play action to
Landry to gain traction. There is a level of risk here, but the reward could be
sound.
Christian
Kirk (ARZ)
We thought
coming into the season that Larry Fitzgerald would again dominate the target
share, and while it has been up and down, Christian Kirk is starting to gain
traction. This week is a glorious opportunity for Kirk to showcase his
abilities and we feel he could have a very strong day. If there was any better
time for Coach Kingsbury to involve Kirk, now is the time.
Marquise
Brown (BAL)
Truly, we
have been up and down on the Ravens Marquise Brown this season, but this should
be the matchup where he brings points in bunches. While we completely expect a
full blown run attack for most of the contest, Brown will get at least a few
deep shot attempts with the potential of finding the endzone. His play has been
something of a risk, but the start could pay off this week.
Tight Ends:
Much like
our evaluation for Robert Woods, finding new ways to move the ball effectively
will be paramount in this contest for the Rams. While Gerald Everett will
always be a hit-or-miss start in fantasy, this could be the week he is more
involved with Brandin Cooks sidelined. If you’re stuck at tight end like most
of us are, Everett has a good shot at production.
