WELCOME TO THE FINALS!!! We say this
every year, but it’s hard to believe the fantasy season is down to one game as
it seems to move faster each season. If you are one of the fortunate owners
that has found their way to the title match, you may be inclined to peruse the
waiver wire in hopes to gain a possible matchup play to help lift you over the
top. More than likely given the fact that you’re in this game, your roster should
be quite sound, but we have a few players that could help if required. Injures continue
to be the most difficult aspect to overcome in fantasy football, and this week
the replacements should be at least secured to block your opponent.
While this is the last installment of the ADF waiver
wire targets for yet another season; we would like to remind everyone that
there is no offseason for us, and stay tuned for big things from ADF. Good Luck
in your journey for fantasy supremacy as we ride with you in hopes to hoist the
coveted championship trophy. Let’s get to it…
Quarterbacks:
Nick Foles (PHI) (7%)
The Eagles are back in playoff contention and fighting for their shot at winning the NFC East crown. Nick Foles is back behind center and could bring some better play against the Texans in a must win contest. Foels wasn't overly sharp last week but was able to produce a good amount of yardage. If he was able to find the endzone last week, his overall stat line wouldve shown much better. If you require a quarterback with a decent matchup in a must win, Nick could be the guy.
Marcus Mariota (TEN) (34%)
Marcus Mariota (TEN) (34%)
If you are a manager who has been playing the wire all
season for a matchup quarterback, the Titans Marcus Mariota could in fact have
one of his best games of the season against the Redskins. Tennessee has finally
understood that this offense should start and stop with the run game which will
only have positive implications on the play action pass. Derrick Henry has been
moving this offense basically by himself these last two weeks which will get
Marcus moving in the right direction. We could envision many plays where Mariota
burns the Skins defense as they stack the box in hopes to slow down Henry.
There is good but not great potential here.
Sam Darnold (NYJ) (4%)
Running Backs:
Jamaal
Williams (GB) (19%)
The Green Bay Packers season has been nothing short of
an abomination, and to further the pain, Aaron Jones looks to be done for the fantasy
season after suffering a knee injury last week. Enter Jamaal Williams to be the
bell-cow back this week as the Packers take on the New York Jets. The matchup isn’t
great in terms of fantasy outlook, but the fact the Williams will see the
majority of carries from the backfield is encouraging. This will be a volume play
if you choose to snag his services and plug him into your line up. An endzone
trip isn’t out of the question as the run game should be used more with Aaron
Rodgers nursing a groin injury.
Kalen
Ballage (MIA) (3%)
With the future hall of famer Frank Gore lost for the
season, rookie running back Kalen Ballage will get his shot to show the
coaching staff what he’s capable of. Coming off a great performance last week
against the Vikings, Kalen managed a whopping 18+ fantasy points on the day.
While we understand that most of that production was gained on one long carry
(75 yard touchdown run), Ballage should be see majority of the touches this
week against the Jags. While Jacksonville still houses a top flight run
defense, their season is all but lost and we would question how much effort
they will bring. If you’re stuck for a running back, Kalen could help you out.
Elijah McGuire (NYJ) (33%)
We had McGuire on our waiver list last week and will
promote the new Jets starter again this week. While Elijah’s overall performance
wasn’t great, he managed to save his fantasy day with a touchdown scamper which
could again come to fruition this week verse the Packers in New York. The
greatest positive coming from placing a claim on McGuire, and potentially starting
him this week, is that he will again handle the majority of the work after
seeing a healthy 21 touches last game. As the Jets season is over and is in
full evaluation mode for next year, Eli is a good bet to show the Jets staff he
deserves to be on the club again in 2019. Potential is good with this pick up.

Nyheim Hines (IND) (24%)
Darren Sproles (PHI) (8%)
Giovani Bernard (CIN) (23%)
Trenton Cannon (NYJ) (1%)
Wide Receivers:
While we fully comprehend that the Broncos pass game
has been nothing short of abysmal these last few weeks, matchup appeal is far too
great to not give DaeSean Hamilton a look over. Leading the team in targets the
last two weeks with 21, Hamilton should again see a plethora of action come his
way verse the Raiders who struggle to stop anyone. The discouraging aspect to
this play has been the inept performance of Case Keenum these last couple
games, but we feel very strong with recommending DaeSean this week in all PPR
formats. If he’s on your wire and you require an upgrade at the flex spot, put
in a claim 100%.
Robby Anderson (NYJ) (28%)
The Jets Robby Anderson has had an up and down season
where consistency has been a big issue. After seeing Anderson hit decent
numbers in the last two games, and having a good matchup against the Packers
this week, Robby could be a guy that helps your club get over the top. Sam Darnold
force fed his receiver to the tune of 11 targets verse the Texans and piling up
a whopping 18 targets over the last two games. Anderson is definitely worth a
look for championship weekend.
As the Buffalo Bills continue to evaluate their rookie
gun-slinger Josh Allen, Robert Foster is showing the NFL that he was overlooked
during the draft process. Foster has good size and great speed to go along with
above average hands which has been the reason for big games in three of the
last four weeks. Foster has been able to generate a nice 50.2 PPR fantasy
points these last four weeks and there is no indication that Buffalo won’t continue
to feed him. The Patriots may place this contest out of reach early leaving a
great possibility of garbage time points on the menu. Foster has proven he can
be a real threat on the field.
On the Radar:
Chris Hogan (NE) (28%)
Antonio Callaway (16%)
Taylor Gabriel (CHI) (32%)
Isaiah McKenzie (BUF) (1%)
Anthony Miller (CHI) (29%)
Tight-Ends:
Tight-end continues to be a massive issue for fantasy
teams that don’t employ the top three at the position. The Broncos face the
Raiders this week who give up the most to tight-ends leaving the potential
fairly good for Matt LaCosse. Denver is without question in a world of trouble
offensively, but should be able to muster some production this week. If you are
in desperate need, this is the best matchup play for the weekend.
The Super Bowl champs are back in the playoff mix
after dropping the Rams last week showing that their rookie tight-end could
have a role moving forward. Seeing a great matchup on the horizon against the
Texans who give up points in bunches to the position, Dallas could see a
touchdown reception come his way with specific play calls leading to misdirection.
This play has a large bust factor attached, but could see rewards with Nick
Foles now under center.
On the Radar:

Ian Thomas (CAR) (41%)
Ed Dickson (SEA) (3%)
