So here we are, the final week of the fantasy football
regular season. For some, this will be all she wrote as a playoff spot could be
on the horizon and any matchup assistance could be the difference in winning
and losing. For others who have already secured their berth in the postseason,
now is a time to add viable depth pieces which have great matchup potential for
those playoff rounds. Adding to that, if you have room on your roster, now is a
very important time to hold handcuff players just in case an injury transpires.
Not only blocking your opponents from holding these players but also keeping a
backup for safe keeping could be a gigantic strategy over the next four weeks.
Happy shopping, good luck…
Quarterbacks:
Dak
Prescott (DAL) (48%)
Jameis Winston (TB) (47%)
The Bucs Jameis Winston once again found fantasy relevance
last week going over 25 fantasy points while leading his team to victory. Going
up against the Panthers in week 13 doesn’t possess anything other than playing spoiler
to knock off a divisional foe. Winston seems to play better with nothing on the
line and could once again find holes in a defense that has been prone to giving
up big plays. Having another home date in Florida should allow Winston to play
at his best. Very good matchup potential exists here.
On the Radar:
Running Backs:
Justin Jackson (LAC) (2%)
With the Chargers star running back (Melvin Gordon) on
the shelf for at least the next three weeks, Austin Ekeler should get the first
crack at starting leaving Justin Jackson prime for mop up duties. Jackson is a
talented runner that will be given a fair opportunity to see at minimum 10
carries from the backfield. Times will be dire for those who employ Gordon and
require a good fill-in option. If you find yourself in this situation, Jackson
should be your top waiver addition.
Carlos
Hyde (JAX) (38%)
Doug
Martin (OAK) (48%)
Nyheim Hines (IND) (22%)
On the Radar:
Chris Thompson (WAS) (44%)
Jordan Wilkins (IND) (4%)
LeGarrette Blount (14%)
Giovani Bernard (CIN) (28%)
Malcolm Brown (LAR) (9%)
Wide Receivers:
Wide receiver Antonio Callaway reminded us of the
talent he possesses last week finding the endzone for the first time since week
8. Baker Mayfield and the Browns seem to have new life post Hue Jackson
allowing the offense to maneuver in ways we only imagined. Antonio has an opportunity
to continue the pile up of production in these remaining four fantasy relevant
contests. He is a prime depth piece that should be added if you can spare the
room.
Bruce Ellington (DET)
(2%)
In all PPR formats, you can
no longer look away from the Lions Bruce Ellington as he essentially has taken
over the Golden Tate role in the slot. Also, with recent news that Marvin Jones
has been sent to injured reserve, Ellington should see continued work as the
target share from Matthew Stafford will come in bunches. Seeing a healthy 16
targets over the last two contests provides great encouragement to the overall
outlook moving forward. Kenny Golladay will be the primary receiver in this
offense with Bruce lining up as the clear number two at this point. A solid PPR
addition without question.
Mohamed
Sanu (ATL) (43%)
With the Falcons clearly on
life support for their outlook for the rest of the season, their fantasy
perspective does have good appeal. Mohamed Sanu has fallen victim to horrible
play calling and poor execution limiting the overall potential in generating solid
production. Having quite the decent remaining schedule in terms of matchups,
Sanu could be used more down the stretch stealing touchdowns while lifting his
overall output. Atlanta can still move the ball leaving all receiving options
with standalone appeal. Having Mohamed at least on the bench is a great move.
Quincy Enunwa (NYJ) (9%)
Curtis
Samuel (CAR) (9%)
Danny Amendola (MIA) (38%)
Marcell Ateman (OAK) (1%)
Dontrelle Inman (IND) (2%)
Tight-Ends:
Matt LaCosse (DEN) (0%)
The Denver Broncos have
found their way back from the dead and fighting for their playoff lives with a glorious
slate of upcoming games on the docket. With recent news of their starting
tight-end Jeff Heuerman being placed on injured reserve, Matt LaCosse now
becomes the default starter. Denver has shown the tight-end position more love
these last few weeks which should continue verse perhaps the best remaining fantasy
schedule in the league. LaCosse is a must add with good potential for the rest
of the season.
On the Radar:
Jesse James (PIT) (10%)
Chris Herndon (NYJ) (8%)
Dan Arnold (NO) (0%)
Mark Andrews (BAL) (2%)
Tyler Higbee (LAR) (1%)
Best Week 13 Defensive Streams:
Indianapolis Colts (45%) @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Seattle Seahawks (27%) vs San Francisco 49ers
Kansas City Chiefs (41%) @ Oakland Raiders
Buffalo Bills (38%) @ Miami
Dolphins
Green Bay Packers (41%) vs Arizona Cardinals
