With the last two
weeks of the fantasy regular season upon us, we all know the importance of
gaining these victories especially for those teams fighting for their playoff
lives. This Sunday we are three games short due in part to Thanksgiving playing
the usual three contests. Even if you find yourself with a lead entering Sunday,
having the best starters will go a long way to completing the victory. Good
luck in your pursuit in achieving that coveted fantasy title. Let’s get to it…

START - GET THEM IN YOUR LINEUP
Quarterbacks:
Russell Wilson (SEA)
The Seahawks will have
to put their best foot forward in hopes to beat the Panthers on home turf, meaning,
Wilson may have to match score for score with his counterpart Cam Newton. The
Panthers defense hasn’t been what we expected and should give up points in
bunches. Wilson is a very good play this week.
Baker Mayfield (CLE)
Waking up feeling
dangerous should continue this week for Baker Mayfield and the Browns as they
take on the Bengals who provide the 2nd most to fantasy quarterbacks
this season. If you were looking for matchup play appeal, Baker provides that
glimmer with great potential to earn similar points to that of last week. 20
points could be the floor.
Running Backs:
Gus Edwards (BAL)
Ok, ok, we know,
recommending the Ravens Gue Edwards to start a week after he stole all the
carries is an easy evaluation, but we can’t ignore the matchup and circumstances
this week for Baltimore’s offense. With rookie Lamar Jackson starting, the
Ravens ran the ball a whopping 50+ times and will again prove to be the game plan
against the Raiders in week 12. Fire up Gus and Collins this week.
Joe Mixon (CIN)
While Joe Mixon is normally
a must start on a weekly basis, this week we feel the need to promote Joe in a very
good matchup against the Browns who give up their fair share in rushing yards.
Andy Dalton will again be without AJ Green this week making the run the vocal
point of this offense again. Mixon has struggled these last two weeks but
should fully get back on track.
Marlon Mack (IND)
At this point of the season,
we are starting to buy what the Colts are selling as a team and have no issue endorsing
Mack as a must start with a great matchup verse the Dolphins. Miami’s season
sits in the balance and will have a difficult time stopping one of the hottest
offenses in the league over the last few weeks. The offensive line has done a
masterful job and that will continue in this contest.
Wide Receivers:
Sterling Shepard (NYG)
After witnessing wide
receivers practicing at defensive back for the Eagles, its impossible to not encourage
all fantasy managers to play Sterling Shepard this week. Odell will obviously
feast first, but Shepard should have one of his best performances of the season.
The Eagles along give up the 2nd most to fantasy receivers, and now
have all five of their top corners sitting for this match.
DJ Moore (CAR)
The Panthers rookie
star in the making has another fantastic opportunity to show the NFL he is a
true playmaker. Teammate Devin Funchess has basically been ruled out for this
contest leaving Moore and Samuel the obvious players to fill that role. Greg
Olsen should also see an increased work load, but Moore will lead the team in
targets against the Hawks.
Tight-Ends:
Cameron Brate (TB)
After the Bucs sent OJ
Howard to injured reserve, old reliable Cameron Brate instantly finds himself
back in fantasy relevance especially with Jameis Winston back behind center.
Brate and Winston have always had great chemistry and is his trusted player in
the redzone. If you need improvement at tight-end like most of us do, Brate is
a good start.
SIT - LEAVE THEM ON THE BENCH
Quarterbacks:
Marcus Mariota (TEN)
Admittedly, Marcus almost
pulled the wool over our eyes believing he turned a corner this season warranting
more love form us at ADF. Mariota is a player that has ability but is far to inconsistent
to trust. Moving forward even in good matchups, it will be very difficult for
us to endorse him.
Derek Carr (OAK)
While most would ascertain
that sitting Carr is obvious, we feel he must be cautioned to those that would.
The Raiders find themselves traveling all the way east to Baltimore and will
struggle to provide anything positive against one of the best in the business
on defense. Carr should have more than one turnover this week.
Running Backs:
Doug Martin (OAK)
Much like Carr, Martin
must be placed on your bench this week even if your running back situation
looks dire. The Ravens are the 2nd best team at stopping the run and
will absolutely dominate the Raiders at home. We encourage all fantasy managers
to find anything better than Martin this week.
Lamar Miller (HOU)
Sitting Lamar Miller
would be an advantage for your fantasy team this week as the Titans do in fact
hold teams on the ground with great regularity. Lamar has seen good production
in three of the last four weeks but should struggle to see open lanes to run
through. This benching is more of a caution to become a bust rather than a must
bench.
LeSean McCoy (BUF)
The Buffalo Bills having
scored a season low 13 touchdowns on the season and face off against the Jags
this week which shouldn’t help the situation. Even with the abysmal play from
the once stellar defensive unit, Jacksonville should find it easy to dominate
this Bills terrible offense. Shady will have a very tough day.
Wide Receivers:
Larry Fitzgerald (ARZ)
At this point we are starting
to feel bad for the Cardinals future hall of famer Larry Fitzgerald as his
season has become a nightmare. While Larry did find the endzone twice last week,
he was limited to four targets. Going up against the Chargers who give up the 8th
fewest to fantasy receivers, Larry will disappoint once again.
Corey Davis (TEN)
This isn’t the first
time that Corey Davis has found his way to be on our must bench list and its surely
won’t be the last. With Marcus Mariota dealing with injuries for most of the
season and not finding his stride, Davis will have a difficult time finding ways
to get open on Monday Night Football. Look in another direction.
Tight-Ends:
Evan Engram (NYG)
Suggesting the benching
the Giants gifted tight-end is more precautionary as the Eagles defend the position
quite well. Even without viable defensive backs set to take the field for this
contest, we feel most of the target share will go to Beckham, Shepard, and
Barkley, leaving Engram again to have a down day. There is potential for Engram
to find the endzone this week, but we have too much fear to endorse this play.
POTENTIAL BIG DAY – ALL ABOUT THE RISK/REWARD
Quarterbacks:
Jameis Winston (TB)
The revolving door at
the quarterback position for the Bucs has been a disaster this season, but this
week going up against the 49ers who make most quarterbacks look brilliant, Winston
is a sneaky start to have a solid day. Jameis isn’t afraid to sling the ball
all over the field which has gotten him into trouble on more than one occasion.
He may throw an interception or two, but he should find the endzone more often
than not.
Eli Manning (NYG)
This will be the third
week that we are on the Eli Manning wagon for fantasy production and he hasn’t disappointed.
Going up against the Eagles who have supreme issues on the defensive side of
the ball, Eli should be able to generate magic against his divisional foe. The Giants
would love nothing more than to end the Eagles season, and we could see another
20-point performance from the aging quarterback.
Running Backs:
Austin Ekeler (LAC)
We have been one of Ekeler’s
biggest supporters this season, but he has let us down these last several
weeks. With reports that Melvin Gordon is once again hampered with a hamstring
injury, Ekeler could have a big role in a very sound matchup. This could be the
game where Ekeler brings back his net worth.
Nick Chubb (CLE)
Given the starting role
after trading Carlos Hyde, Nick Chubb hasn’t disappointed and has proven to be
quite the player. Going up against the Bengals in a must win contest, Chubb
will be leaned upon to produce chunk yardage. Cincinnati gives up the 3rd
most to fantasy runners making both Nick Chubb and Duke Johnson great plays
this week. Finding the endzone should be rather easy for Nick.
Matt Breida (SF)
We have been up and
down this season on the overall outlook of the 49ers Matt Breida, but we love
the prospects of his having a fantastic day on Sunday. Tampa Bay has issues
stopping everyone on defense leaving this match to be a potential shootout of sorts.
Nick Mullens should be able to pass the ball freely leaving the run game to
take advantage. Breida could be a top preforming of the week.
Wide Receivers:
Marquise Goodwin (SF)
Goodwin was back on
our waiver wire addition this week with a great matchup against the Bucs which
leads him to be a potential big day player. Tampa Bay gives up the 3rd
most to fantasy receivers and should be able to find room down the field. The
concern in his game as per usual is the amount of injures he endures. There is always
a risk of him missing time but if he stays on the field, he should have a solid
day.
Emmanuel Sanders (DEN)
The Broncos have a
giant matchup against the Steelers at home to save their playoff lives, meaning
Sanders will be leaned upon in the pass game to keep them competitive. The Steelers
give up middle of the pack numbers to the position, but Emmanuel should see a
great deal of the target share. There is a prospect of this play not coming to fruition,
but we like the possibility.
Tight-Ends:
Vance McDonald (PIT)
With Antonio Brown dealing with injuries and the
Broncos still employing one of the best in the business (Chris Harris), targets
will be shared to other options. Vance McDonald has been very good these last
few weeks being a trusted player Big-Ben looks for often. An endzone trip could
lift Vance to be a top producing tight-end this week
