With week three upon us, our success rate once again saw a high
number of players we predicted garner much success last week. This week sees a multitude
of contests that should again provide great amounts of production based on
matchup. Follow us and we’ll get you those victories. Let’s get to it…

Must Start
Quarterbacks:
Kirk Cousins (MIN)
The Minnesota Vikings continue to show they’re the cream of the crop
in the NFC and Kirk Cousins is truly becoming a must start every week. This
week however a juicy matchup against the lowly Buffalo Bills has us licking our
chops at the potential for securing the best output for quarterbacks in week
three. Playing in the comfortable confines of US Bank Stadium, Minnesota should
be able to finish this game early in the third quarter. Fully expect Cousins to
dominate the Bills generating anywhere from 30-40 fantasy points this week.
Jared Goff (LAR)
The battle of Los Angeles should see a very competitive contest between
the Rams and the Chargers in week three. Goff and company have been literally
head and shoulders above their early competition seeing Goff orchestrate
dominance in running the Sean McVay offense. While the Chargers haven’t been
able to showcase the skill and talent we had expected thus far, this could turn
out to be a shootout of sorts as the game moves forward. While Jared hasn’t seen
over 20 fantasy points yet this season, this contest should allow that to
change. The Chargers give up the 9th most to fantasy quarterbacks which
will turn into great success.
Dak Prescott (DAL)
While we aren’t impressed with the overall outlook on the Cowboys
offense so far this season, this week’s matchup has us very intrigued with the
potential for Dak to be a top producer going up against a Seahawks squad that
is in real trouble early on. The Dallas offense really needs to show they can
move the ball with regularity starting by once again featuring Zeke Elliott as
the main offensive weapon. Building the play action pass is extremely important
to Dak’s success and we believe this will be the case when the Boys face the
Hawks on Sunday. We have preached all offseason that Tavon Austin needs to be a
center piece of this attack, to which we could see more touches moving forward.
Prescott will get back on track this week.
Jimmy Garoppolo (SF)
After witnessing the Kansas City Chiefs unable to play defense last
week in a supreme shootout against the Steelers, this week’s matchup has the
potential to see another high scoring affair take place in Arrowhead. Jimmy has
underwhelmed with his performance so far in terms of fantasy production, but
this week should completely re-write the narrative. Coach Kyle Shanahan will continue
to adjust his scheme to better situate his young quarterback placing him in the
best situation for success. This game should see blows traded like a heavy
weight fight leaving Jimmy a fantastic play to generate top end points.
Running Backs:
Jordan Howard (CHI)
Our overall support for Jordan Howard still isn’t wavering even
thought the overall production hasn’t been what it should be through the first
two weeks of the season. Coach Nagy has tried to force the issue with Mitchell
Trubisky passing the ball in clear running situations, that should ultimately
be corrected against a weak Cardinals club. Arizona gives up the most points to
fantasy runners and we fully expect Howard to dominate the workload finding his
way to the best stat line so far this season. Howard could find his way to be a
top three producer this week at running back.
Kenyan Drake (MIA)
The Miami Dolphins have quietly found their way to two victories in
the first two weeks of the season with Kenyan Drake being a major part of that
success. Drake is producing very strong numbers even though his workload has
been spelled by long time veteran Frank Gore, losing approximately 10 touches
in the process. There’s nothing to suggest that Drake will get back those
carries just yet, as the Fins staff look to keep Drake fresh throughout each
contest. With that said, Drake has a great matchup against the Oakland Raiders and
should be able to put up great figures for your squad. An endzone trip should
be a formality in this one.
Chris Thompson (WAS) (PPR)
The Washington Redskins offense is what we thought it was going to
be, and Chris Thompson is another player that is a true must start moving
forward. Alex Smith has carved out the perception that he is nothing more than
a check down quarterback and is using the speedy, elusive running back to his
advantage throwing everything he can in Thompsons direction. Chris had a
whooping 13 receptions last week and is becoming a favorite to Smith when
receivers down field aren’t open. Thompson has put up nearly 20 points in both
contests this season and going up against a Packers team that should lock down
the receiving core with regularity, fully expect Thompson to have another great
game.
Latavius Murray (MIN)
With recent news that Dalvin Cook will be forced to sit out this
contest due to injury, Latavius Murray plants himself in the must start
category with an A+ matchup against the Buffalo Bills. While its easy to
predict starting every offensive weapon on this offense, Murray should see work
for the entire game even if it turns into a blowout early. If you were lucky
enough to snag Murray off the wire late or simply housed him on your bench
specifically for this situation, start Murray with great confidence and watch
the points roll in.
Wide Receivers:
Emmanuel Sanders (DEN)
The Broncos Emmanuel Sanders was one of our favorite mid round
targets in fantasy drafts this season and is proving to be extremely reliable
thus far. Case Keenum has developed a great rapport with the sure handed
receiver and that should again transpire when they travel to Baltimore to faceoff
against the Ravens. While Demaryius Thomas still resides as the number one
target on this offense, drawing the best coverage to his direction is another
great benefit to Sanders collecting PPR points in bunches. Sanders may not find
the endzone in week three as the Ravens do possess a solid defensive group, his
PPR potential should find the way to become a heavy producer. Sanders will
again put up good numbers for your team.
Cooper Kupp (LAR)
As the Rams continue to destroy the competition, some may scoff at
the notion to see Kupp as a must start this week against the Chargers. With
Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods pegged to see the best coverage in this contest,
Kupp is the natural benefactor that will find ways to run free in the middle of
the field with great potential to find the endzone. Having good numbers on his
resume so far, we fully expect Kupp to be a prime target for Jared Goff which
could garner inflated statistics in the process. If you have Kupp on your
roster, don’t hesitate to plug him in.
Randall Cobb (GB) (PPR)
After a week one explosion from Cobb, week two saw him relegated to
watching his teammates steal targets and generate solid production. In most circles
we’ve spoken to about Cobb feel he is again going to struggle moving forward,
but we view his situation completely different especially going into this
contest. Randall has seen a very healthy 16 targets in the first two weeks and
there is nothing to believe that won’t continue this week against the Redskins.
Even though Washington has locked down the opposition to the tune of being the
3rd best at limiting wide receivers, much like our evaluation on Cooper
Kupp, Cobb will find room in the middle of the field with great potential to
find his way into the endzone. Very high upside for Randall Cobb this week.
Albert Wilson (MIA)
It’s no question that most will question our thought to place the
Dolphins Albert Wilson as a must start player going into week three, but his place
on this Miami offense is ready to see an expanded role. While we recommend
Wilson to start this week, we would feel more comfortable placing him as a flex
play with very good upside. Miami is clearly trying to replicate a short pass
game with Wilson, Amendola, and Grant running short routes, the target share
based on reliability is already working in Wilson’s favor. His nine targets are
a little slim to trust a great statistical performance in week three, but we truly
feel coach Gase will continue to integrate Albert to the point he becomes a featured
player.
Tight-Ends:
Kyle Rudolph (MIN)
Like we mentioned above with the other Minnesota Vikings players,
Kyle Rudolph is poised to also have a great afternoon playing against the Buffalo
Bills. Kyle is beginning to build trust with Cousins which witnessed him
receive a healthy eight targets last week and endzone trip from back in week
one. Its easy to see Kyle finding his way back to the endzone in this contest
as Buffalo will have their hands full covering Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen with
a depleted secondary. This is perhaps the easiest evaluation and endorsement to
start all Minnesota Vikings offensive playmakers this week.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins
(JAX)
The Jacksonville Jaguars are a team that proved last week they are a
force on both sides of the ball and their new tight-end Austin Seferain-Jenkins
should now be trusted to see more of the target share as the season goes on.
ASJ is a sure handed player that will make most of his money in the redzone as
Blake Bortles will be instructed to look in his direction from offensive coordinator
Nathanial Hackett. With a plethora of receiving talent littered on this roster,
getting creative and multidimensional will be the mantra for this Jags offense.
There is boom or bust caution on ASJ until it’s confirmed he is a mainstay in
targets, but its difficult to move away from his potential against the Titans.
George Kittle (SF)
Much like Jimmy Garoppolo, George Kittle and the 49ers haven’t met
the expectations early on but seeing the potential for a shootout with the Chiefs
could be the coming out party for Kittle and company. Seeing 13 targets in the
first two weeks suggests the volume is there for George to have an impressive
day, but the overall output hasn’t proven to be the case just yet. We would
like to error on the side of caution, but this matchup is far to spicy to neglect.
Must Bench
Based on matchup and lower than expected production to begin the
season, our must bench players does employ some top-end talent that we just
cant endorse to be played in week three. Staying away from these players could
be the difference in wining and losing the week.

If you happen to be stuck on players that could potentially garner

the needed lift to get your squad over the top in week three. While there is
great potential for these players to see good days, temper the expectations as
some are definite boom or bust starts.
