Start - Quarterback:
Drew Brees (NWO)
Many attractive options
for the fantasy semifinals exist, and one of the best for the weekend belongs
to Drew Brees. ADF has noted previously of the decline of the future Hall of
Famer, but remains confident he is more than capable of getting the job done! Coming
back home on extra rest, playing the NY Jets who give up the 3rd
most to fantasy quarterbacks, this matchup and potential outcome already has us
smiling. Brees will once again prove his worth and not let his owners down.
Enjoy this one as he will be a major reason you get to the Finals!
Dak Prescott (DAL)
ADF preached Dak as a
must start in week 14, and will keep preaching for week 15! Dallas must run the
table and receive assistance to qualify for the post season, so better believe
Dak will be on full tilt to produce again. Playing on Sunday Night Football in the
prime time lights should reflect positively for the Cowboys. Dak is up against
the Raiders who give up the 10th most to fantasy quarterbacks and he
will take full advantage. Giving fantasy owners a whopping 31 points last week should
be around the target to expect this week. He will produce.
Ben Roethlisberger
(PIT)
Big Ben is back to
playing at an elite level these last several weeks and that will continue vs
the Patriots on Sunday. Statistically the Pats still give up the 6th
most to fantasy quarterback and Ben is coming off another 500 yard performance
against the Ravens last Sunday Night. As much as New England has improved on
the defensive side of the ball, last week’s game in Miami is proof they can
still be rattled. With the fire power the Steelers employ and playing at home
in front of the home town faithful, Roethlisberger is prime to continue his fabulous
play. Ben should see a stat line of 350 yards and at least 2 TDs on Sunday.
Philip Rivers (LAC)
You can’t ignore what
Rivers and the Chargers are doing on the offensive side of the ball. Winners of
their last four games, they enter a contest with the division on the line, and
we fully know Philip will come to play! Rivers will face the Chiefs who give up
the 7th most to fantasy throwers as their leaky defense will definitely
have their hands full. Philip at times is prone to making poor choices that
inhibit his ability to generate top numbers, but in a game of this magnitude he
should be on fire and on point. A 300 yard game and multiple touchdown
performance is definitely on the docket. Owners will have an early start as
this game takes place on Saturday, essentially primetime, another great aspect
for a Rivers must start.
Play with Confidence:
Matt Ryan (ATL)
Cam Newton (CAR)
Aaron Rodgers (GB)
Russell Wilson (SEA)
Potential Big Day:
Blake Bortles (JAX)
Jimmy Garoppolo (SF)
Start - Wide Receiver:
Michael Thomas (NWO)
The bust proof Michael
Thomas in PPR leagues finally provided relief to standard league owners with
his best performance of the season against the Falcons last Thursday. Thomas is
beginning to heat up and should be able to piggy-back last week game totals
into week 15. The Saints host the Jets on Sunday who give up the 6th
most to fantasy receivers which is a perfect elixir for Thomas and Brees. With
the Jets having to start Brice Petty as the quarterback, there is no question
the Saints offense will see a lot of time on the field. The potential to run
70-80 plays is extremely real. Saddle up and get ready for another show.
Mohamed Sanu (ATL)
Once again the Falcons
face the Bucs who gave up copious amounts of fantasy points to the Atlanta
receiver core (most notably Julio Jones @ 12-253-2), back in week 12! The
popular start of course is the great Julio Jones as the Bucs are his most favorite
team to play against, (see career stats vs TB). The reverse outlook on this
matchup to suggest Sanu is a prime must start is; do we honestly believe Tampa
would allow Julio to gash them severely again in a matter of weeks? Jones
should see double if not triple teams on Sunday opening up Sanu to run the
show. Tampa Bay gives up the most to fantasy receivers where Mohamed saw a healthy
9 targets hauling in 8! It’s not unconceivable that Sanu will see 8-10 targets
totaling over 100 yards and finding the endzone in this one.
Devante Adams (GB)
With the return of
Aaron Rodgers all Packer receivers get an instant uptick. The best receiver in
the Rodgers absence has been Adams and his stock should continue to remain
where it has been, this time with greater confidence. Playing the Panthers who give
up the 9th most to fantasy receivers, Devante will see a healthy
dose of targets and redzone opportunity. There’s a small potential of a setback
performance as Aaron should spread the ball around to his many targets, which
they would all welcome. Jordy could be the biggest target stealer for Adams
this week, but he should see his fair share.
Keenan Allen (LAC) (PPR)
Allen like Rivers has
been on a fantastic tear these last four games. The combination of these two
has been nearly unstoppable and Christmas will come early for Allen owners. The
Chiefs give up the 2nd most points to fantasy receivers a benefit
Keenan will definitely exploit. The Chargers haven’t seen the Chiefs since week
3 of the season where a whole lot has changed. It will be a pleasure watching
Keenan carve up the Kansas City secondary with supreme skill and efficiency. Fully
expect a stat line of 9 rec-125 yards-1 TD from Allen on Saturday!
Play with Confidence:
Julio Jones (ATL)
Jarvis Landry (MIA)
(PPR)
Robert Woods (LAR)
(PPR)
Mike Evans (TB) (PPR)
Antonio Brown (PIT)
Golden Tate (DET)
(PPR)
Michael Crabtree (OAK)
Potential Big Day:
Dede Westbrook (JAX) (PPR)
Randall Cobb (GB)
(PPR)
JuJu Smith-Schuster
(PIT) (PPR)
Trent Taylor (SF)
(PPR)
Start - Running Back:
LeSean McCoy (BUF)
Once again the Bills
find themselves in a must win contest and the lead dawg to be leaned upon will
be Shady. McCoy is the Buffalo Bills offense to this point as everything seems
to go better when he is going strong. With Tyrod back in the mix and preparing
to start, should only benefit Shady as he shouldn’t see too many stacked boxes.
The Fins give up the 3rd most to fantasy runners and we fully expect
Shady to be ready to rock and roll. His numbers in the pass game should also
get an uptick favoring the PPR leagues. Either way, LeSean will not disappoint and
will find the endzone once again.
Jordon Howard (CHI)
At times Jordon Howard
has frustrated his owners with his up and down play this season. All the trash
cannot be put squarely on his shoulders as the Bears were in an impossible
situation at quarterback. Howard has had a good season never the less, and as
ADF advised last week to play Jordan with confidence, once again we endorse the
must start. Howard and the Bears are up against the Lions this week as they
intend to play the role of spoiler to perfection. Detroit gives up the 6th
most to fantasy running backs and the Bears should continue to improve their solid
performance from last week. The Lions defense started strong against the run
but has fallen off as the season wore on – Howard will feast.
Devonta Freeman (ATL)
As the Falcons gear up
to run the table and secure their position in the 2017 post season, a massive
contributor will be Devonta Freeman. Last week vs the Saints, Freeman looked
rested and electric running the ball with extreme burst and agility. With his
running mate Tevin Coleman not expected to suit up for this one, the lion’s share
of the carries will be handled by Freeman. Tampa Bay gives up the 10th
most to fantasy running backs and Freeman will produce. He may not find the
endzone this week with so many mouths to feed on the offense, but the
possibility is very high. Start him and don’t look back.
Alvin Kamara (NWO)
(PPR)
It was incredibly
apparent how much Alvin means to the Saints offense after he went down early
last Thursday due to concussion. Kamara is that X-factor in a scheme that
allows creativity from the offensive coordinator’s game plan to adequately
incorporate all his weapons easily. When Alvin was absent the offense struggled
mightily with consistency we have become accustomed to so far this season. If
by chance you made it through the first week of the playoffs despite the lost production
from Kamara’s injury, there’s no question to go back to the well and start him.
His upside always remains in PPR formats but he will come back right where he
left off.
Play with Confidence:
DeMarco Murray (TEN)
LeVeon Bell (PIT)
Latavius Murray (MIN)
Mark Ingram (NWO)
Alfred Morris (DAL)
Christian McCaffrey
(CAR) (PPR)
Jay Ajayi (PHI)
Alex Collins (BAL)
Kenyan Drake (MIA)
Potential Big Day:
Jerik McKinnon (MIN)
(PPR)
Rod Smith (DAL)
Jonathan Stewart (CAR)
Start – Tight End:
Zach Ertz (PHI) (PPR)
Not much this week for
the endorsement of tight ends but we must include the great Zach Ertz. Even
with the loss of Carson Wentz, Ertz will remain a top producing tight end in
PPR formats. Nick Foles will look and find his check down early and often in
his first start of the season. The Eagles face the Giants to which they give up
the most points to fantasy tight ends which increase’s the Zach Ertz start
stock. He may not find the endzone this week but should have enough PPR points
to get you through.
Jason Witten (DAL)
ADF encouraged the start
of Witten last week to which it paid off handsomely. As the game wore on Witten
was an afterthought and hadn’t received more than one target for most of the
game. It appeared the start was due to bust, until Dak found the best tight end
in Cowboys history over the middle for the touchdown to save his fantasy day.
This week will view very similar to the way last week’s game played out. Witten
is being held on the line to assist in pass-pro in hopes in keeping Prescott
off the tuff. He should see more targets this week but will find the endzone
once again. Oak gives up the 7th most to fantasy tight ends and Dak
will find his man on Sunday Night Football.
Play with Confidence:
Jimmy Graham (SEA)
Travis Kelce (KC)
