FANTASY FOOTBALL
FINALS ARE HERE! If you are one of the lucky fantasy managers
still playing in this week 16, CONGRATS – you have made it to the finals in the
long grind of the NFL season. Basically, there isn’t much left to tinker with
in regards to the waiver wire, however, as always ADF is looking for the
potential for better matchups for that certain position to get you over the
top. Good Luck to you all in the Finals, and I hope you are able to hoist that
trophy and get that ring! After this week you will be a Champion!
This will be the last
wavier advice article of the season and ADF wanted to thank you all for the
support and great feedback. ADF will continue to publish Football articles
throughout the offseason as in our world there is no offseason! Thanks for
reading and stay tuned to all new things coming for All Day Football!

Quarterbacks:
Blake Bortles (JAX)
There is a real possibility you have made it to the finals and could be
questioning your quarterback and their matchup. Blake Bortles has become the
best streaming quarterback on championship weekend. Owned in 54% of leagues
there is a great possibility that that Blake is there for you to pounce on. The
Jags continue to roll and Bortles has been a huge part of their success these
last four weeks. He has been decisive, efficient, and it seems the Jaguars have
a plethora of receivers making plays these days. Playing the 49ers this week
you couldn’t ask for a better matchup. It’s tough to go away form the guys that
got you to the finals but Blake is a real option to get you that ring.
Nick Foles (PHI)
ADF advised that we
needed to see what Foles was going to do last week before we gave our full
endorsement, he passed with flying colors. The Philly offense started slow but
finished strong as Foles accounted for four touchdowns vs the Giants last week.
Nick has another juicy matchup against the Raiders this week and should be able
to replicate much of the same success he had. Owned in 27% of leagues Foles is
a viable streaming option for championship weekend. The Eagles will want to
perfect their scheme with Foles under center and they will continue to push the
ball down the field.
Running Backs:
James White (NE) (PPR) / Mike Gillislee (NE)
With news that Rex
Burkhead has been lost to a knee injury the only realistic options at running
back on the waiver for championship weekend are James White & Mike
Gillislee. White is owned in 51% of leagues while Gillislee is owned in 27% of
leagues respectively. White is the first option to target as he should provide
value in PPR formats as added work will come his way. Gillislee is a risky play
as he has been a healthy scratch losing favor with Coach Belichick due to ball
control issues. Playing the Bills this week it’s not inconceivable that the
game play could be geared toward the former Buffalo Bill getting carries to
stick it to his former club. White is the better option this week while in
deeper leagues touchdown Mike might be resurrected.
Wide Receivers:
Marquise Goodwin (SF) (PPR)
Since the infusion of
Jimmy G at quarterback in San Francisco, the biggest benefactor has been
Marquise Goodwin. The rapport these two have found early has been nothing short
of amazing as Goodwin has torched his opponents the last 4 weeks. Owned in 68%
of leagues there is a slim chance he still resides on the waiver in your
league. His matchup for week 16 isn’t incredibly favorable (Jacksonville), but
he should stay relevant in PPR formats. Goodwin is a true speedster and should
get open on the strength of his world class speed. There will be a huge bust
factor this week for Marquise as he’ll face Ramsey or Bouye all day. Buyer
beware.
Mike Wallace (BAL)
Wallace has been a consistent wavier addition recommendation these last
couple weeks and has been more than serviceable. Owned in 40% of leagues, Mike
has a prime matchup against the Colts with no Jeremy Maclin in this one.
Wallace should see the bulk of the targets come his way this week, and ADF has
the sneaky suspicion he will find the endzone in this contest. Wallace should
form as a popular Flex option for championship weekend and he shouldn’t
disappoint.
Keelan Cole (JAX)
The Jaguars seem to have a load of receivers on this team that have been
shackled to the bench for the majority of the season. ADF mentioned Cole as a
wavier addition last week and will preach the same for week 16. With Marrqise
Lee hobbled and expected to miss this contest, Cole will see a healthy amount
of targets come his way yet again. Owned in 5% of leagues and playing the
49ers, ADF has no issue with recommending Cole as a Flex starter for the
Fantasy Finals. Cole is coming off a 26.4 point performance in PPR formats and
should be able to replicate that in week 16. He may be the option to get you
over the top.
Tight Ends:
Benjamin Watson (BAL)
If you’re stuck at
tight end this week you may want to entertain picking up Watson for the
championship game. Owned in 14% of leagues with no Jeremy Maclin in this
contest, he could see some redzone looks form Flacco against the lowly Colts.
There is a massive boom or bust to this play, but if your truly stuck this week
at this position, Watson is more than capable in generating 8 to 15 fantasy
points.
Antonio Gates (LAC)
A very popular
addition this week at tight end will be the great Antonio Gates. With Hunter
Henry geared to miss the next couple weeks, the Chargers will re-employ the
future Hall of Famer. Owned in 14% of leagues with a good matchup against the
Jets, Gates should see his fair share of work. With Keenan Allen playing at
less than 100%, Gates could find himself with a large role in a must win game
for the Chargers playoff aspersions.
