Start - Quarterback:
Blake Bortles (JAX)
The talk of the town these
last four weeks has been Blake Bortles and his play. Blake has risen his game
to another level and is loudly professing the Jags are the real deal and should
be feared going into the post season. For Championship Weekend, Bortles is the
top streaming quarterback to place into your lineup to get you over the top. With
a fantasy floor of 20 points in the last four weeks you can expect much of the
same coming. Adding to all the positives, the Jags face the 49ers that give up
the 5th most to fantasy quarterbacks; start Blake and don’t look
back.
Ben Roethlisberger
(PIT)
What more can you say
about the resent play of Big Ben, just fantastic! The Steelers are coming off a
game against the Patriots where in most eyes (mine included); they got robbed
of a victory. Never the less, Pittsburgh continues their domination this week
verses the Texans team that would like to for-go their remaining games and pack
it in. Houston gives up the 2nd most points to fantasy quarterbacks
and with a fired up Roethlisberger, this could pose as a beauty. One obstacle
facing the Steelers will be the loss of Antonio Brown for this contest, (injured).
The rest of the unit will of course have to step up, but ADF doesn’t see a
massive drop off against the Texans.
Russell Wilson (SEA)
If you played Wilson
last week, there’s a great chance he lost you the Semifinals. If you are one of
the lucky survivors that escaped and made it, Russell will show his apologies
and provide a fantastic game on Championship Weekend! With the Hawks slim
playoff hopes alive they face a Cowboys team also in the thick of it. The
Seahawks look to be a club that has broken down due to injuries and exhaustion.
However, Wilson should shake off his previous performance as he faces a Cowboys
team that gives up the 8th most to fantasy quarterbacks. The Hawks
matchup a lot better with Dallas then they did with the Rams and with playoffs
and pride on the line, expect a bounce back in a big way.
Play with Confidence:
Philip Rivers (LAC)
Cam Newton (CAR)
Drew Brees (NWO)
Nick Foles (PHI)
Alex Smith (KC)
Jared Goff (LAR)
Potential Big Day:
Matthew Stafford (DET)
Eli Manning (NYG)
Joe Flacco (BAL)
Start - Wide Receiver:
JuJu Smith-Schuster
(PIT)
With the injury to Antonio
Brown, the biggest benefactor this weekend should be JuJu Smith-Schuster. He
has already proven he is more than capable of making big plays, and with the
increased targets he’ll see from Big Ben, expect fireworks from the rookie
sensation. Having an A+ matchup against the Texans who give up the 5th
most to fantasy receivers, his stat line should view as; 8 receptions, 120
yards, 1 touchdown. There is potential that JuJu could get free and have a
multi touchdown day, either way, expect big things as you roll to a title win with
Smith-Schuster.
Jarvis Landry (MIA)
(PPR)
Landry has been one of
the most consistent receivers in PPR leagues this season, and that should continue
this week. The Fins are finished in the playoff race and are prime to play spoiler
to the Chiefs whom have resurrected their play of late. The Chiefs give up the
4th most to fantasy receivers and the Dolphins should be playing
this game from behind, which will increase the amount Miami will throw the
ball. In non PPR leagues, Jarvis should be able to find the endzone, but the
potential for a bust game still exists. Landry has been too good this season
not to play on Championship weekend.
Robert Woods (LAR)
(PPR)
Woods came back to the
starting lineup after he missed a few games to injury and didn’t miss a beat.
Finding the endzone once again has placed Robert back in the WR#2 category in
fantasy leagues. His appeal obviously resides more in PPR formats, but has
provided brilliance for all owners in the second half of the season. This week
will be no different as Woods benefits greatly from Sammy Watkins drawing
majority of the star coverage, leaving Woods open to make plays. Going up
against the Titans who pretended their way into a playoff spot, will be thrown
back down to reality at the hands of the mighty Rams. Woods will easily grab 6
balls and find the endzone in this one. ADF is a big fan of Woods!
Doug Baldwin (SEA)
Baldwin is a very
consistent receiver and continues to pile up the stats on a weekly basis. This
week the Seahawks again find themselves in a must win contest to keep any hopes
of the playoffs alive. Facing the Cowboys who give up the 3rd most
to fantasy receivers, Doug should easily find his way open, often. The
statistics can be a little misleading at time as the Cowboys are much improved
on the back end at the hands of rookie up starts Awuize & Lewis. Even
still, Baldwin has all the ability and should be able to rip off big gains and
potentially find the endzone. Easy must start.
Keenan Allen (LAC) (PPR)
ADF preached the start
of Allen last week and he disappointed with extreme failure. This week he’ll
look to get back on track vs the Jets who give up the 9th most to
fantasy receivers. The Chargers had a complete meltdown last week in an important
match against the Chiefs for the division lead. Faced with another massive
contest to keep their playoff hopes alive, we should see Rivers and Allen get
back on track in a big way. The recommended start would resonate better in PPR
formats as Allen will be playing at less than 100%. Finding the endzone might
be a stretch this week, as he more than likely won’t extend plays after the
catch. Still a solid start, especially in PPR leagues.
Play with Confidence:
Tyreek Hill (KC)
DeAndre Hopkins (HOU)
Dez Bryant (DAL)
Mike Evans (TB)
Michael Thomas (NWO)
Julio Jones (ATL)
Larry Fitzgerald (ARZ)
Michael Crabtree (OAK)
Adam Thielen (MIN)
(PPR)
Potential Big Day:
Kenny Stills (MIA)
Martavis Bryant (PIT)
Keelan Cole (JAX)
Mike Wallace (BAL)
Start - Running Back:
Zeke Elliott (DAL)
THE MAN IS BACK! Just in
time for the fantasy finals, Zeke Elliott has returned to the Cowboys lineup
and will be unleashed with fresh legs and a chiselled frame. Going up against
the Seahawks who all season have been very tough against the run, giving up the
10th fewest fantasy points to opposing runners. As the injuries continue
to pile up on the defensive side of the ball, Seattle has tried to stop the
bleeding without success. Todd Gurley proved that a week ago and Zeke will
benefit from the same type of production to the elation of his owners. Zeke
will be running hard to prove a point that he is the Dallas Cowboys offense.
Buckle up and get ready.
Kareem Hunt (KC)
As the season wore on,
it was clear that Hunt had hit the rookie wall as his production began to
falter. These last couple weeks Kareem has again found his mojo as the play
calling has become more conducive to his ability. The Chiefs face the Dolphins
this weekend as they continue their ambitions of winning the AFC West. The Fins
give up the 3rd most to fantasy runners and this is where drafting
Hunt will pay off. The game plan will be directed heavily on the run and Hunt
will add to those totals with PPR points out of the back field. He will most definitely
find the endzone in this contest and reward his owners with the high pick they
gave up to grab him back in August.
Christian McCaffrey
(CAR) (PPR)
CMC has been a
fantastic fantasy running back this season in PPR formats. McCaffrey has broken
records for rookies coming out of the back field with receptions and receiving
yards proving his ability so far is better in the pass game then the run. Going
up against the Bucs who give up the 7th most to fantasy runners, CMC
without a doubt, will be leaned upon to generate positive plays while creating a
great mismatch. McCaffrey is a very talented player that can expose defenses
with ease, if he can learn to run between tackles there could be no stopping
him. ADF fully expects an endzone visit from the young rookie.
Alex Collins (BAL)
ADF has gushed over
Collins these last few weeks as he has taken his game to another level. Alex is
surprisingly fast with a great first move and can run away from defenders with
ease. If that wasn’t impressive enough, Collins can truck with the best of them
with his superb power. This week the Ravens continue their playoff push and
face the Colts who give up the 13th most to fantasy running backs.
ADF has no doubt that Collins will be a big factor in the Ravens game plan, and
should be able to post top notch high end numbers as Baltimore continues to
roll. For the Championship match unlock Collins as he is a must start.
Latavius Murray (MIN)
Lat-Murray has been
very impressive this season generating a solid run game with his running mate
Jerick Mckinnon. Facing the Packers, now again without Aaron Rodgers, this game
shouldn’t be much of a match as the Vikings should step on the cheese early and
finish them off late on the strength of the run. Murray has consistently put up
numbers in the range of 10-17 points weekly and that should be the target in
this one. Green Bay gives up the 5th most to fantasy runners and the
Vikings will expose that as the Packers season has been put on ice.
Play with Confidence:
LeSean McCoy (BUF)
Jordon Howard (CHI)
LeVeon Bell (PIT)
Dion Lewis (NE)
Mark Ingram (NWO)
Alvin Kamara (NWO)
Jerick Mckinnon (MIN) (PPR)
Todd Gurley (LAR)
Kenyan Drake (MIA)
Melvin Gordon (LAC)
Leonard Fournette
(JAX)
Potential Big Day:
Theo Riddick (DET) (PPR)
Joe Mixon (CIN)
James White (PPR)
Jonathan Stewart (CAR)
Start – Tight End:
Zach Ertz (PHI)
Like most weeks the
same cast of characters reside in the start column for tight ends. Ertz again
proved he was the best draft value tight end in the pool. With Nick Foles at
the helm, Ertz value only increases as he is prone to the check down and will
find the talented receiver easily. Having a great matchup vs the Raiders, Ertz
will find room early and often against the defensive squad that gives up the 7th
most to the position. ADF has no question; Ertz will get into the endzone again
in week 16.
Travis Kelce (KC)
Another similar start
- the great Travis Kelce. This man is one of the best, if not the best tight
ends in the NFL. This guy can do it all and absolutely loves the game of
football. Going up against the Dolphins who give up the 5th most to
fantasy tight ends, expect Kelce to dominate once again vs an inferior opponent.
His stat line should read; 85-100 yards, 1-2 touchdowns, as the Chiefs continue
to roll toward the playoffs and the AFC West crown.
Antonio Gates (LAC)
The most popular tight
end wavier claim of the week from ADF was the future Hall of Famer, Antonio
Gates. With recent news that Hunter Henry has been lost for the season, Rivers
will have his best bud back in the fold catches passes like they have done so
many times in the past. The Chargers face the Jets who give up the 15th
most to fantasy tight ends, and with Keenan Allen playing at less than 100%;
Gates will be the primary redzone target in this contest. ADF fully expects
Gates to find his way back into the endzone helping owners get that trophy!
Play with Confidence:
Rob Gronkowski (NE)
Eric Ebron (DET)
Jesse James (PIT) (PPR)
Potential Big Day:
Jimmy Graham (SEA)
Vernon Davis (WAS)
Ben Watson (BAL)
