Welcome to the
PLAYOFFS! With the first round of the playoffs in the
books you might be one of the lucky managers that have made it to the
Semi-Finals, Congrats! ADF is always making the attempt to add value in case
you’re in a bind. As mentioned last week, the rule of thumb is to play the
players that got you there, that being said there’s always room for improvement
and depth! Here are the best Week 15 Wavier Targets. Good luck.

Quarterbacks:
Blake Bortles (JAX)
The top waiver addition
at quarterback for the week goes to Blake Bortles. These last three weeks Blake
has taken his game to another level as the Jaguars continue to roll. Blake has
posted numbers of 20.53, 27.00, 20.73 in the last three contests and looks to
do much of the same vs the Texans at home on Sunday. Owned in 36% of leagues
Bortles should be there for the taking and will be a prime candidate to replace
Carson Wentz if that has hurt your squad. If you’re looking for an upgrade at
the position you definitely shouldn’t over look Bortles this week. At home with
an A+ matchup it could equal great success.
Jameis Winston (TB)
The scramble to
replace Wentz is real as confirmed reports placed Carson on season ending
injured reserve with a torn ACL. Enter Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston to
provide some relief. Owned in only 55% of leagues you may be lucky enough to
have a starter caliber player to potentially get you much needed points in the
semi-finals. Going up against the Falcons isn’t an ideal matchup, but beggars
can’t be choosers in this case. Winston has the ability to go down field and
would love the opportunity to play spoiler to their division rival. His stat
line has been similar these last 2 weeks so his floor isn’t a terrible as some
others. If you’re stuck you may want to grab Jameis.
Joe Flacco (BAL)
Never in my wildest
dreams would I endorse a Joe Flacco pickup, this week may be the exception.
Simply, Joe is here to help those that lost Carson Wentz and are scrambling to
find a starter for the next round. Flacco surprisingly is picking up his level
of play as the Ravens playoff hopes are on the line. With Flacco there is
always massive bust fear, however his matchup vs the Browns could be a recipe
for success. Owned in 14% of leagues he will be there for a waiver pickup if
you’re so inclined. His last two games Joe has put up 17.97 and 20.87 points
respectively, and we could see a very similar stat line in week 15.
Nick Foles (PHI)
The deep league pickup
of the week will obviously go to Nick Foles. Replacing Carson Wentz is an
impossible task but let’s not forget Foles has been here before. He has started
games in the NFL and has had success with the Eagles. This pickup is only a
suggested in very deep leagues as we all have no real idea of how the offense
will be tailored to fit the long-time backup. The best part of this pick up is
the matchup the Eagles have vs the Giants. If you have to start Foles this week
may the force be with you and the best of luck!
Running Backs:
Jonathan Stewart (CAR)
ADF has preached the
pickup of Stewart these last several weeks as the Panthers seem to have again
found their grove in the run attack. To top it off, J-Stew is the primary goal
line back and is scoring touchdowns almost on a weekly basis since week 8!
Owned in 38% of leagues Stewart should be available and could provide
exceptional value with his Week 15 matchup vs the Packers - easy must add.
Rod Smith (DAL)
Finally we witnessed
what the expectation was for Rod Smith after Elliott was suspended (last week).
Alfred Morris has been the lead dog so far, but Smith showed his great ability
vs the Giants ripping of a huge game. Owned in only 13% of leagues Smith should
be there to pick up if you are starving for a running back for the semi-finals.
Playing the Raiders makes Smith a potential viable start as the Cowboys could entertain
the workload usage similar to last week. Obviously there is a boom or bust
aspect to picking up Smith, but in deeper leagues this could be a no brainer.
Corey Clement (PHI)
A speculative addition
of the week goes to Corey Clement of the Eagles. Some may scratch their heads
as in this crowded back field Clement remains the third option limiting his
fantasy value. With the recent news that Carson Wentz is gone for the season
this may give an uptick to Clements status. The Eagles will employ a run heavy
offensive scheme to project backup – now starter Nick Foles. This would be more
attractive in deeper leagues as the Eagles play the Giants and Clement is a favourite
on the goal line.
Wide Receivers:
Kendall Wright (CHI) (PPR)
As the receiver waiver
list becomes incredibly thin, one name to keep an eye on is Kendall Wright.
Mitchell Trubisky played fantastic last week and was feeding Wright on the regular.
Kendall saw an incredible 11 targets, catching 10 balls for 107 yards. This late
in the season it could be hard to trust a player like Wright for the playoffs,
but is definitely on the radar as the Bears seem to be opening up the play book
for their young franchise quarterback.
Mike Wallace (BAL)
Wallace has been consistently
involved in the Ravens offensive scheme and that should most definitely continue
as Baltimore has a great matchup against the Browns on Sunday. Owned in 40% of
leagues, Mike will be there if you desperately need a receiver to fill a void
for the semi-finals. The Ravens are in the thick of the playoffs race and
Flacco should give the speedster every opportunity to make plays. Wallace
should see five to eight targets this weekend.
Keelan Cole (JAX)
Speculative add this
week goes to the rookie from Jacksonville, Keelan Cole. This kid has been
making plays of late as the Jags are trying to find creative ways to get this
man the ball. He has scored in back to back weeks and looks to continue that
pace vs the Texans. Cole is touchdown dependant at this point and is a massive
boom or bust candidate, but in deep leagues he could provide some value. Temper
the expectations on Cole, but he is a man to watch.
Randall Cobb (GB) (PPR)
Mr. Cobb is back on
the radar simply because of the chatter that Aaron Rodgers might suit up sooner
rather than later. Owned in 50% of leagues he could be sitting there waiting to
be rostered. Playing the Panthers this week would endorse a multitude of
targets to come his way only if Rodgers is throwing the ball. Keep an eye on is
the status of the Packers gun-slinger, as all Green Bay receivers would get a
massive uptick. Even if Hundley gets the start this weekend it may be wise to
roster Cobb and place him on your bench for the championship game as Aaron
should return for the week 16 contest for the fantasy finals.
Tight Ends:
Charles Clay (BUF)
With recent news that
Tyrod Taylor might be able to suit up in this week’s contest, Charles Clay once
again becomes relevant. Owned in 34% of leagues and playing against his former
team (Miami), he always seems to get up for these games. Tight end has been extremely
difficult to roster this season outside the top talent at the position. This
matchup could provide Clay with offensive stats he hasn’t been able to produce
consistently this season.
Jesse James (PIT) (PPR)
After last week Jesse
James is once again on the radar in PPR formats. The Steelers have a massive
game upcoming vs the New England Patriots where James could be as much involved
as he was last week. James saw a whopping 12 targets last week hauling in 10
receptions for almost 100 yards. Obviously the absence of super rookie JuJu
Smith-Schuster played a big role in the uptick of targets; but James should see
five to six come his way on Sunday.
Best Week 15
