HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! PLACE
YOUR BETS!!! You’re Thanksgiving Special of ADF Point Spread Picks! ADF took one on the chin last week as
majority of the games took many for a loop and crushed the spreads. Still
housing a record above .500 we look to get back on track this week and try to
run the table. Let’s make some money. Good Luck!

Not often do we see a
real meaningful games for the Lions coming on Thanksgiving?! This year we are in
for a treat. The seemingly unstoppable Vikings roll into Ford Field for the
first of three games on Thanksgiving. The last time these two teams met the
Lions edged out Minnesota with a 14-7 victory; this outcome may view a little
differently. With Keenum running the show behind the good running combo of
Murray and McKinnon, they seem to have found the right ingredients to have a
full meal on Turkey Day! If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it claims the Vikings
Head Coach Mike Zimmer, and we tend to agree. Case has played great football
these last three weeks as he seems to have settled into being the starting quarterback.
All the praise the offense has received of late is overshadowing the strength
of this team as they quietly continue to dole out punishment. Minnesota houses
the 5th best defensive unit in the NFL coincidently ranking the same
as the offensive unit. The only thing standing in the Vikings way will be
injuries. A victory here would give them the upper hand for the division crown.
Let’s not forget the
Lions are no slouch themselves, housing a 6-4 record in late November making
them prime for a wildcard spot. This game is more important in the standings to
Detroit as a win would put themselves one game back of the Vikings while
holding the tie-breaker sweeping the season series. Stafford and the Lions
passing attack has carried this club once again but has improved in their
commitment to running the ball of late. If the Lions can control the clock and
keep Minnesota from generating huge plays we could see another Lions victory.
With that said, this is a different Vikings team then the one they faced 53
days ago. The Lions will get their fill but it won’t be on the football field.

Who are the Los
Angeles Chargers really? Are they once again a team that tries to convince the
NFL public that they are better than their record indicates? This team is quite
the conundrum at this point of the season but have received a Thanksgiving Day endorsement
from Vegas and the odds makers. The mirage for the Chargers spread comes from last
week’s absolute beat down of the Buffalo Bills. LA’s record sits at 4-6 as they
look to climb back into the playoff race from a season that began with tremendous
tribulation. The issue at hand is the Chargers don’t do anything with extreme excellence
but do a lot of things well. Ranking in the middle of the pack in most statistical
categories, they should be able to generate offense on the Cowboy defense. The
run game behind Melvin Gordon is the strength of the offense and the ball
hawking nature of the defense will be extremely important down the stretch. If
they can continue to get Philip Rivers the ball in prime situations, they have
the tools to exploit their opponents.
The Dallas Cowboys
find themselves at a crossroad to the 2017 NFL season. This game could settle
the fate of the once dominating squad, now trying to stop the bleeding with key
injuries and the suspension of Zeke Elliott. Positive news coming out of Dallas
suggests star left tackle Tyron Smith should return to help keep Dak Prescott stay
off the turf. The Cowboys ran the ball well last week with Morris, but
consistently haven’t been able to make great strides in the pass game. Outside
of Dez - Prescott will have to trust his receiving core to help take pressure away
from the offense that has become quite predictable in the last few weeks. The
Cowboys defense played very well vs a top flight offense in the Eagles last
week - eventually braking down in the second half failing to see adjustments. They
should be able to hold up better on Turkey Day at home! The Boys will compete
and keep their season alive.

Any primetime game
seems to bring the best in Eli Manning as he will try and complete another
upset piggy-backing last week’s shocking victory vs the Chiefs. New York ranks
in the bottom in every statistical category and will be hard pressed to
generate much vs the Skins that look to keep their season alive. The defense is
a much better unit than they’ve shown this season and should get up for playing
a division foe in Washington. How tasty the Turkey would be for the Giants to
all but crush the Skins chances of making the postseason. The Giants will continue
a simplified approach to the offense running the ball with Darkwa trying to set
up play action. Evan Engram should be reintegrated into the offensive scheme creating
better mismatches that saw him catch only one pass on six targets last Sunday.
Even though the Giants don’t look strong enough to win this contest they should
be able to complete.
The Washington
Redskins season hangs in the balance as they host the Giants on Thanksgiving
capping off the trio of games. It will be intriguing to see how they respond after
the utter collapse of last week’s game in the Big Easy! Coach Gurden should
have his squad fired up riding a similar game plan with a heavy dose of running
and play action. Cousins has begun to create chemistry with his receiving core,
something that will need to continue as they lost star back Chris Thompson to
injury. Samaje Perine impressed a week ago looking to have solved his fumbling
issues handling the lead back duties. If Cousins can continue to build on the
successes of last week with Doctson and Grant, we could see a dominating performance.
With the season on the line playing at home, I think you know where ADF is
heading. WAS covers the spread @ -7
