Start - Quarterback:
Cam
Newton (CAR)
The
no brainer start of the week goes to Cam Newton. The Panthers are coming off
the bye traveling to New York to face a Jets team that gives up the 10th
most to fantasy QBs this season. Cam would’ve had extra time to prepare for
this match and should be able to exploit the Jets secondary frequently. It seems
they figured out how to run the ball two weeks ago against Miami, something
they will again attempt on Sunday. When the run game works Newton also works.
Expect 3 touchdowns form Cam this weekend.
Russell
Wilson (SEA)
Wilson
will be on fire to the dismay of the 49er faithful as he looks to get the
Seahawks back on the winning track. San Fran gives up the 3rd most
to fantasy quarterbacks a trend that will continue on Sunday. Wilson has been
absolutely unreal these last 5 weeks and will have to put this team on his back
the rest of the season. Russell has been averaging 30.16 fantasy points over
the last five games and he should reach that mark this week as well. There’s no
holding back this man right now.
Andy
Dalton (CIN)
Even
though there’s a sound possibility that the Bengals lose and give the Browns
their first victory of the season, it’s hard to ignore the fantasy relevance
for Andy Dalton this week. The Browns give up the 6th most to
fantasy quarterbacks this season a trend that could continue. The Browns do
have the 8th best defense in the NFL based on yardage so this has
some bust appeal to go along with it. Even still Dalton should be able to find
AJ Green a couple times in this one. Possible stat line - 280 yards, 2TDs.
Play with Confidence:
Matt
Ryan (ATL)
Ben
Roethlisberger (PIT)
Tom
Brady (NE)
Jared
Goff (LAR)
Drew
Brees (NWO)
Potential Big Day:
Blake
Bortles (JAX)
Start - Wide Receiver:
Antonio
Brown (PIT)
The
must start of the week goes to the great Antonio Brown!! Coming off a fantastic
3 TD performance vs the Titans Brown looks to get right back at it on another
primetime matchup on Sunday Night Football. What’s more intriguing than the
Packers that give up the 7th most to fantasy receivers is that JuJu
Smith-Schuster won’t play in this contest. What I’m alluding to, is that JuJu
has eaten into Brown’s share of targets now which should all come back his way.
I fully expect another monster from Brown and Ben! Stat line - 10 rec, 110
yards, 2 TDs.
Mohamed
Sanu (ATL) (PPR)
Sanu
has a juicy matchup vs the Bucs who give up the most points to fantasy
receivers this season. The popular play is of course Julio Jones; however it
seems that the game plan to spread the ball giving more opportunity to the
single covered option. Sanu has been very consistent in four of his last five
games a trend that should continue. He should receive his 5-7 targets and
capitalize on a defense that has underachieved this season.
Corey
Davis (TEN)
With
news that Richard Matthews may not play the uptick in targets will undoubtedly
go to the rookie Corey Davis. This should be the coming put party we’ve all
been waiting for from Corey to prove he was worth the first round selection in
the NFL draft. The Colts give up the 10th most to fantasy receivers
and as mentioned with more potential targets coming his way we could see a big
day.
Russell
Shepard (CAR) (PPR)
When
Samuel went down for the season, Shepard was thrust into the starting lineup to
take on WR#2 duties. ADF doesn’t believe David Funchess can be the true number
one threat consistently beating double teams, essentially where Russell will
come into play. He had some uncharacteristic drops before the bye week, an
issue we are sure he will clean up. His PPR potential is large with added
touchdown potential as an unknown playmaking commodity. The Jets surrender the
9th most to fantasy receivers this season which could give Shepard a
fantastic stat line.
Play with Confidence:
Julio
Jones (ATL)
Mike
Evans (TB)
Doug
Baldwin (SEA)
TY
Hilton (IND)
Jarvis
Landry (MIA (PPR)
Cooper
Kupp (LAR) (PPR)
Potential Big Day:
Nelson
Agholor (PHI)
Ted
Ginn Jr (NWO)
Dede
Westbrook (JAX)
Tavon
Austin (LAR)
Start - Running Back:
Kareem
Hunt (KC)
The
start of the week has to go to the Chiefs Kareem Hunt. It’s very evident that
Hunt has hit the rookie wall these past few weeks but should look to regain his
galloping trend vs a Bills team that is incapable of stopping the run. The
Bills give up the second most to fantasy running backs and have allowed a
whopping 600+ yards on the ground these last 3 weeks! If Hunt fails to get his
owners 120 yards and a least one touchdown the rookie wall may not be overcome.
Mark
Ingram (NWO)
Ingram
and Kamara are basically un-benchable at this point of the season until they
prove otherwise. The Saints offensive scheme is fantastic and supports a power
run game fit perfectly for the likes of Ingram. Finally getting the praise he
deserves he will continue to produce. The Rams give up the 4th most
to fantasy runners and there should be no question that Mark will again find
the endzone in this match. We see another 100 yard one touchdown day for Mark!
LeVeon
Bell (PIT)
Usually
a moot point to suggest starting Bell as he never leaves the starting lineup.
This evaluation is simply here to promote the best statistical performance of
the week, it should be Bell. The Packers don’t have a prayer on Sunday Night
Football unless the Steelers are their own worst enemy. The Packers give up the
10th most to fantasy runners, and even if they slow LeVeon down, he
should receive some of the lost targets JuJu will leave on the field (not
playing due to injury). Bell will find the endzone this week.
CJ
Anderson (DEN)
With
the recent firing of OC Mike McCoy, the Broncos look to get back to basics while
starting Paxton Lynch at quarterback. The good news for Anderson is that they
should run the ball quite a bit on Sunday. With that, CJ has an A+ matchup vs
the Raiders who give up the 5th most to fantasy runners this season.
The evaluation of Paxton will come after this game but he should get a ton of
support form all the running backs in Denver. I wouldn’t be surprised to see
Anderson find the endzone this week.
Play with Confidence:
Demarco
Murray (TEN)
LeSean
McCoy (BUF)
Duke
Johnson (CLE) (PPR)
Alvin
Kamara (NWO) (PPR)
Jay
Ajayi (PHI)
Todd
Gurley (LAR)
Potential Big Day:
Christian
McCaffrey (CAR)
Tevin
Coleman (ATL)
Start – Tight End:
Travis
Kelce (KC)
Even
though this matchup on paper doesn’t promote a big game as the Bills give up the
19th most to fantasy tight ends, this one will view differently. The
Bills line backing core struggles to keep up with talented tight ends and Kelce
will be targeted in great volumes. The run game will break loose helping play
action and Kelce will benefit from all redzone opportunities. His stat line will
look like; 6rec, 105 yards, 1 TD.
Rob
Gronkowski (NE)
As
the Patriots continue to roll, Gronk’s stat lines have faded into the
background these last four weeks. This may be a deliberate move by the Pats
brain trust to keep Rob from seeing the medical room by limiting his targets.
This should be the game Belichick employs a game plan to get Rob his seven targets
and multiple looks in the redzone. Playing the Dolphins, Gronk has a fantastic
matchup as Miami gives up the 5th most fantasy tight ends. Expect
him to generate a stat line of 5rec, 95 yards, 1 TD.
Play with Confidence:
Jimmy
Graham (SEA)
Zach
Ertz (PHI)
Potential Big Day:
Tyler
Kroft (CIN)
