Start - Quarterback:
Matthew
Stafford (DET)
Stafford
is prime and ready to continue the success he and the Lions had from last week
over to Week 10! Playing the Browns at home who give up the 5th most
to fantasy quarterbacks, all signs point to Matthew putting up supreme numbers
again. The biggest revelation from Week 9 was the improvement and commitment to
the run game, allowing Stafford more time and setting up play action to work
perfectly. The Browns do have a defense ranked in the top 10 in the NFL,
however, they tend to break down mid 3rd quarter where the flood
gates seem to open. I will be shocked if the Lions don’t put up big numbers on
Sunday.
Ben
Roethlisberger (PIT)
Big
Ben hasn’t been much to talk about statistically this season however he is
gifted with a fantastic matchup vs the lowly Colts. The last time these teams
met, Roethlisberger found his main man Antonio for 3 touchdowns with supreme efficiency,
something we may be witness to again on Sunday. Its no surprise the Steelers
have regained their form, as they went back to LeVeon Bell to carry the load
removing pressure from Ben to make all the plays. I fully expect Pittsburgh to
roll all over Indy, where Ben could have his best game of the season.
Jared
Goff (LAR)
Continuing
to show what he can do every week is 2nd year Quarterback Goff. Coach
McVay has got this Rams squad firing on all cylinders leading the league in
points scored. Coming off a 35-point fantasy performance last week, Jared again
has an A+ matchup vs the Texans. Houston gives up the 4th most to
fantasy QBs this season, a trend that will continue as the Texans will again
not be able to sustain drives putting their defense in vulnerable positions. Goff
has been great spreading the ball to his many playmakers, while Todd Gurley
runs free taking pressure off the young thrower. He should easily get 25-30
fantasy points this week.
Play with Confidence:
Drew
Brees (NWO)
Andy
Dalton (CIN)
Dak
Prescott (DAL)
Cam
Newton (CAR)
Tom Brady (NE)
Potential Big Day:
Eli
Manning (NYG)
Josh
McCown (NYJ)
Start - Wide Receiver:
Antonio
Brown (PIT)
Brown
feasted on the Colts last year in their late season meeting, and this time, he doesn’t
have Vonte Davis standing in his way, (recently released). With the abundance of
playmakers and the success of JuJu Smith-Schuster, Brown has lost some targets
of late but should be the primary against the Colts. Indy gives up the 11th
most to fantasy wide receivers a statistic that isn’t indicative of the Colts secondary
play. Brown should feast in this one.
AJ
Green (CIN)
Coming
of a terrible game vs the Jaguars putting up only 1.4 fantasy points then being
ejected for trying to decapitate star defensive back Jalen Ramsey. Definitely
out of character AJ is far more stable then his frustrations let on last week.
Green the class act he truly is, will have a chip on his shoulder to prove to
the NFL world that he will not be undone mentally. Playing the Titians who give
up the 10th most to fantasy wide receivers AJ will most definitely be looking
to have a monster game. I fully expect Green to post numbers in the realm of: 8
rec, 110 yards, 1TD.
Sterling
Shepard (NYG)
The
battle of the terrible will take place in San Fran as the Giants visit the
49ers. Much criticism has been put on Eli Manning for his subpar play which isn’t
the full story. The Giants O-Line is in utter shambles and not to mention when
was the last time Manning had a good run game? With all that said, I believe
New York (especially Eli), will be out to prove a point. With that point to
prove, the biggest benefactor will be Shepard! He should be the primary target
for Manning vs a 49er defense that gives up the 15th most to fantasy
wide receivers. I won’t be surprised if Shepard finds the endzone in this one.
Desean
Jackson (TB)
With
the suspension of Mike Evans for his intentional targeting and launching of
himself into rookie defensive back Lattimore, enter Djax to benefit the most.
Jackson still has top flight speed and playmaking ability. Some may question
the start as perineal backup Ryan Fitzpatrick will get the start in place of
Jameis Winston as her nurses his injured shoulder. Playing the Jets who give up
the 7th most to wide receivers, and with Fitzpatrick, a man who
chucks the ball all over the field has the makings of fantasy gold. Djax should
have a great day, 5 rec, 85 yards, 1 TD.
Play with Confidence:
Julio
Jones (ATL)
JuJu
Smith Schuster (PIT)
Robby
Anderson (NYJ)
Robert
Woods (LAR) (PPR)
Danny
Amendola (NE) (PPR)
Golden
Tate (PPR)
Travis
Benjamin (LAC)
Marvin
Jones (DET)
Jarvis
Landry (MIA) (PPR)
Potential Big Day:
Kelvin
Benjamin (BUF)
Terrance
Williams (DAL) (Dez playing hurt)
Sammy
Watkins (LAR)
Start - Running Back:
Jordan
Howard (CHI)
Howard
has been quite good this season consistently putting up good numbers to help
you get wins. With the infusion of rookie QB Mitchell Trubisky, the offense has
leaned more heavily on the run a trend we shall see continue the week vs the
Green Bay Packers. The biggest help to Howard and the Bears has been the
performance of the Chicago defense, a unit ADF has preached many times is
vastly underrated. They provide the Bears offense with field position and more opportunities
getting the ball back frequently. Playing a Packer team that is now in shambles
and giving up the 5th most to fantasy runners Howard is poised for a
big day.
LeVeon
Bell (PIT)
LeV,
a must start every week and should be in line to have a monster day vs the
Colts. Indy gives up the 7th most to running backs and the Steelers
are coming off the bye. Bell should see his 20-25 carries with an added 3-5
targets in the pass game. I have no question that the Steelers will roll the
Colts in this one to which every playmaker on the offense should be in line for
a great day! Bell stat line should view like; 22 car, 80 yards, 1TD – 3 rec, 50
yards, 1 TD.
Mark
Ingram (NWO)
Typically
playing in Buffalo, in New Era Field, should encourage benching any running
back. This case is a little different as the Bills looked terrible on defense
last week giving up 200 yards on the ground to the New York Jets. In this game
they will have to contend with the mighty Drew Brees and his ability to dissect
defenses with utter brilliance. The Bills do have talent on the defense, and
playing at home is a definite advantage, however, they will be in tough as the
Saints commitment to run the ball is back to their 2010 Superbowl days. Ingram
and Kamara will have big roles on Sunday to create mismatches and exploit the
Bills. Ingram should find the endzone in week 10.
Leonard
Fournette (JAX)
Coming
of a team enforced suspension, rookie star Leonard Fournette will be looking
fresh and driven to prove he is not bigger than the team. Playing the Chargers
who give up the 9th most to fantasy backs, Leonard is all but set-up
to have a great game. This man hasn’t disappointed his owners this season by
only having 2 games under 20 fantasy points with a ceiling of 32! The forecast
is calling for rain which usually means the game plan should be directed to run
the ball. Play Leonard and enjoy!
Play with Confidence:
Melvin
Gordon (LAC)
Bilal
Powell (NYJ)
Shady
McCoy (BUF)
Alvin
Kamara (NWO) (PPR)
Todd
Gurley (LAR)
Tevin
Coleman (ATL)
Potential Big Day:
Joe
Mixon (CIN)
Carlos
Hyde (SF)
Tarik
Cohen (CHI) (PPR)
Start – Tight End:
Hunter
Henry (LAC)
The
Jaguars defense has been on the rise since their performance vs the Ravens in
London! Jacksonville without a doubt houses one of, if not the best defensive back
duo in the NFL in Ramsey and Bouye. Saying that, this is a positive for Hunter
Henry. All the attention will be directed at stopping Keenan Allen and the rest
of the wide receivers, where Hunter should be able to find room in the middle
of the field. The Chargers game plan will be very simple as they will plan to
run Melvin Gordon into the ground trying to set up play action exposing the
Jaguars Line Backers. Henry should see the most targets he’s seen all season.
Evan
Engram (NYG)
Rookie
tight end Engram is poised to have a good day vs the 49ers leaky defense. Even
though San Fran gives up a meek 6th best against players at this
position, the Giants number two target is Engram. He will definitely see his
fair share of the workload and will capitalize on all opportunities. Evan is in
a favorable position to have a career best performance. This prediction is based
on the terrible play of the 49ers and the resilience of Eli Manning to prove he
still has something left in the tank. A great start with ample upside.
Rob
Gronkowski (NE)
Coming
off a much-needed restful bye week, the Patriots travel to Denver to face the Broncos.
Much like Jacksonville, the Broncos have one of the top talented defensive back
combos in the NFL. Where they lack is at Line Backer and should be fully
exposed by Gronk and Brady. The Broncos give up the 3rd most to
tight ends this season and could be in for trouble this week. The only thing
that could contradict these statements is the potential defensive scheme the
Broncos will play. In the past they have had much success lining up defensive
back Talib across from the big man, if this is the case on Sunday Gronk will
have to put his work in. Still a great matchup and start.
Play with Confidence:
Tyler
Kroft (CIN)
Jordan
Reed (WAS)
Potential Big Day:
OJ Howard (TB)
Eric
Ebron (DET)
