Start - Quarterback:
Drew Brees (NWO)
Drew has been playing
great football this year and I fully expect that to continue Sunday at Lambo
field. The biggest difference in this game is the absence of Aaron Rodgers and
this should benefit the Saints on the offensive side of the ball. Brees and
company should be on the field a lot unless Hundley can surprise and put
together drives to keep them off. The Packers give up the 14th fewest
to QB’s this season and Drew should be able to expose them. Play him and don’t look
back.
Dak Prescott (DAL)
Coming off a bye week
and the reinstatement of Zeke Elliott, will provide a big boost to the Cowboys
offense that hasn’t performed consistently so far this season. The 49ers give
up the 8th most to QB’s in fantasy and this one should be no
different. Dallas does have the 8th best offense in the NFL while
going up against the 49ers with the 28th ranked defense, we could
see fireworks from Dak this weekend.
Matt Ryan (ATL)
Ryan and the Falcons
will be on a mission to prove they still are the cream of the crop in the NFL against
the Patriots on Sunday Night Football. The great news for Ryan and the Falcons
is that New England posts the worst defense in the NFL and give up the most to
fantasy QBs this season. If Ryan can’t find ways to get Julio the ball without
Stephan Gilmore on the field, they have serious issues. I’m betting on Ryan
this week.
Carson Wentz (PHI)
The Eagles lead by
Wentz have looked fantastic this year proving they are a front runner in the NFC.
Wentz is showing maturity beyond his years and has a great match-up via injuries
on the Redskins side on the ball. Notable missing in action include; Josh
Norman, Bashaud Breeland (could play), and rookie Jonathan Allen. A defense
which looked to be up and coming is now looking to stop the bleeding which shouldn’t
happen this Monday Night. Philly houses the 3rd best offense in the
NFL and I fully expect Wentz to have a great game.
Play with Confidence:
Cam Newton (CAR)
Marcus Mariota (TEN)
Jarod Goff (LAR)
Potential Big Day:
Blake Bortles (JAX)
Tyrod Taylor (BUF)
Start - Wide Receiver:
Julio Jones (ATL)
The advice for the
week should be start all the Falcons of fantasy relevance you can. Julio is an
obvious choice every week, however this week is extremely juicy! The Patriots
give up the 6th most to WRs this year and Gilmore is once again
sidelined with injury. Ryan should find Julio early and often in this game and
we should finally see Jones get into the endzone. Should be a great offensive
match on Sunday Night Football.
Jarvis Landry (MIA)
(PPR)
Landry once again is a
must start vs a Jets team whom is middle of the pack in giving up fantasy
points to WRs. Parker will sit again this week leaving Jarvis as the primary
option for Jay Cutler. ADF has confidence that Landry will find the endzone
once again this week, in PPR leagues he should see 8 receptions for 80-100
yards.
Michael Thomas (NWO)
Thomas and the Saints
should have a great day in Green Bay and I fully expect Brees to find Thomas
all day long. The Packers give up the 15th most to fantasy WRs this season
but that number should increase as the Packer defense should be on the field
often without Rodgers. ADF is predicting a 6 receptions 85-115 yard 1 touchdown
performance this Sunday.
Pierre Garcon (SF)
(PPR)
Garcon is the most
interesting play in PPR leagues this weekend as he has a new QB running the
show. Shanahan likes his first-year gun-slinger so much that he couldn’t wait
to pull Hoyer and let the Beathard era begin. Shanahan’s offensive scheme has
always favored the #1 WR and Garcon plays the Cowboys who give up the 5th
most to WRs this season, a trend I can see continuing. There is a possibility that
Pierre finds pat-dirt on Sunday.
Play with Confidence:
Antonio Brown (PIT)
AJ Green (CIN)
Adam Thielen (MIN) (PPR)
Dez Bryant (DAL)
Larry Fitzgerald (ARZ)
Potential Big Day:
Bennie Fowler (DEN)
(PPR)
Eric Decker (TEN)
(PPR)
Allen Hurns (JAX)
Taylor Gabriel (ATL)
(PPR)
Nelson Agholor (PHI)
Josh Doctson (WAS)
Start - Running Back:
Carlos Hyde (SF)
Hyde is a good start
this week vs a Cowboys squad that gives up the 7th most vs RBs this
season. The interesting thing is that the 49ers seem to compete every week
keeping things close. Hyde has been run into the ground so far and that should continue
Sunday. He is beginning to lose carries and seemingly going toward a multi-back
system, but this week Hyde should dominate.
Zeke Elliott (DAL)
Elliott should be able
to find room to gallop and run free on a San Fran defense that ranks 28th
in the NFL and gives up the 3rd most to fantasy runners. This game
looks to be a blowout on paper, but the 49ers have kept things close in every
game they have played this season, which should keep Elliott on the field to
pile up more yardage. Zeke should easily put up 100 yards and a touchdown on
Sunday.
Devonta Freeman (ATL)
Following the ADF advice
trend, start all the high talent from Atlanta, they will produce. The Patriots
give up the 3rd most to fantasy RBs and Freeman should get a massive
bounce back from his 9 carries from last week. I fully expect the Falcons to
have a much better game plan as this could be a shootout on Sunday Night. Get
you popcorn ready.
LeSean McCoy (BUF)
Coming off the bye
week, the Bills brass mentioned they plan to focus on ways to improve the run
game that has been the bread and butter of this Buffalo team these last 2 years.
Even still, Shady has been a big part of the pass game and will see his fair
share of PPR points vs a Bucs squad that has holes and tends to leak. This must
be the week we see Shady find his way back into the endzone.
Play with Confidence:
Leonard Fournette
Chris Ivory (If
Fournette sits)
Derek Henry (TEN)
Mark Ingram (NWO)
LeVeon Bell (PIT)
Jerick McKinnon (MIN)
Christian McCaffrey
(CAR) (PPR)
Potential Big Day:
Adrian Peterson (ARZ)
Chris Thompson (WAS)
(PPR)
Start – Tight End:
Jimmy Graham (SEA)
The Seahawks travel to
New York to play the Giants and the biggest benefactor should be Jimmy. The
Giants give up the most points to fantasy TEs so far this season and that trend
should continue. In both PPR and standard leagues Graham is set to have a
monster game.
Zach Ertz (PHI)
Ertz saw a limited number
of targets last week but capitalized on them by finding the endzone twice.
Taking over Jordan Matthews role of the slot man, and redzone target, Zach has
provided and will continue to provide vs a Redskins squad that is extremely banged
up on the defensive side of the ball. He is becoming one of the best TEs in the
NFL.
Austin
Seferian-Jenkins (NYJ)
ASJ has played extremely
well for a Jets team that has competed this season. Austin did have 2 TDs last
week even though one of them was called back on some phantom rule by the NFL
refs. Between Jenkins and Kearse they are providing reliability to the Jets
receiving core. ASJ is becoming a must play every week. Playing the Dolphins
who give up the 7th most to fantasy TEs he should find his way back
in the green.
Play with Confidence:
Delanie Walker (TEN)
Potential Big Day:
Austin Hooper (ATL)
