Week 5 was filled with
massive season changing injuries compounded with bye weeks. The waiver will
become very important to fill your squad. Here are the best week 6 wavier
targets. Good luck.

Quarterbacks:
Trevor Siemian (DEN)
The bye week might
have you stuck and by now Wentz and Watson will be long gone, Siemian might be
your play here. Only 30% owned in leagues with a home date vs the battered and bruised
New York Giants. That Giants defense should be on the field a lot Sunday, so
Trevor could have a decent game.
Jacoby Brissett (IND)
Another week, another
middle of the pack production from Brissett. Again he has an A+ match-up vs a
Titans defense that can’t stop a cold right now. If you are really stuck this
week he should be your guy for Monday Night Football.
Josh McCown (NYJ)
This would be a
desperation add with a great match-up looming. Yes the Jets are a sub-par team
with a 3 game winning streak vs weak opponents; however, up against a Patriots
defense that is struggling mightily. Keep in mind even if Brady and co. light
up the score board early, there could be plenty of garbage time points on that
weak defense. He is worth a look this week to cover your bye.
Running backs:
Marlon Mack (IND)
Mack will be one of the top additions this week based on his play. Coming
out of the draft there were high hopes where injuries have set him back. Mack
has earned more snaps and trust and should be a matter of time before he takes
most of the carries from Gore.
Jerick McKinnon (MIN)
McKinnion again proving his athletic ability makes it viable to have him
on your roster. He will have a role in the Vikings offense simply because
Murray isn’t a sound running back. In both standard and PPR leagues he is a
must add.
Aaron Jones (GB)
Available in approximately 40% of leagues, if he’s there grab him and don’t
look back. Jones looked good with his power style running vs the Cowboys. Even
when Montgomery returns Jones he should have a role especially as the Packer goal
line back.
Elijah McGuire (NYJ)
Much like last week McGuire is a must add for the time being. He plays a
Patriots defense that can’t get out of their-own way at the moment. Furthermore,
Bilal Powell has received a questionable tag with a calf injury that may keep
him from playing altogether. Even though McGuire laid an egg last week he could
be in for a heavy workload vs the Patriots.
Adrian Peterson (ARZ)
Breaking News Tuesday:
Peterson has been traded to the Cardinals removing him from the massive committee
in New Orleans. This will be a speculative add as it won’t be clear what his
role will be. Still definitely worth a pick up and bench stash as this could
pay off with match-up play. Temper the expectations, but worth taking a flyer
on.
Shane Vereen (NYG)(PPR)
Vereen with Engram become
the only viable receiving options for the battered Giants at the moment. The
Giants have a terrible match-up vs the Broncos this week, but the play here
would be garbage time and PPR points. Vereen is an add in PPR formats only.
Wide
Receivers:
Will Fuller (HOU)
If you are lucky enough to still see Fuller in your waiver you better
grab him. He still resides in 25% of leagues and should be completely owned
after this week. I don’t see him putting up 2 touchdowns a week every week, but
he will be a strong with how great
Watson has played.
Robert Woods (LAR) (PPR)
Woods is a great pick
up in PPR leagues based on the volume he receives. Goff and the Rams will continue
to progress and Woods is a very capable wide receiver to make plays. His
touchdown production will never be there but if you are stuck based on the
recent injuries and bye weeks he is your guy.
Mike Wallace (BAL)
Again simply because of
the injuries and bye weeks, Wallace might provide you sound points this week vs
the Bears. Flacco seemed to play better to suggest his injuries are getting
better. If that’s the case we could see Wallace back on the map in the coming weeks.
Nelson Agholor (PHI) / Torrey Smith (PHI)
Getting through the
pains of losing your star wide receivers to injury won’t be easy. Two options
from an offense that seems to be finding its stoke. Both players are worth a
flyer but temper the expectations. Agholor is the better pick up at this point
but Smith has big play ability.
Taylor Gabriel (ATL)
With Sanu still not
practicing and not expected to play in week 6, Gabriel is a must add and play
vs the Dolphins. His big play ability can happen on any play. Especially in PPR
formats he is a must add.
Roger Lewis (NYG)
Only on the list
because he replaces Beckham, Marshall, & Shepard. Eli has to throw to
someone so a bench stash should be the move here.
Tight Ends:
Ed Dickson (CAR)
Dickson turned out a
fantastic performance last week as the Panthers look to start rolling. He may
not duplicate his last game for the rest of the season but has proven to have
gained Newton’s trust. With all the instability at the TE spot he is a must
add.
George Kittle (SF)
Kittle is starting to
heat up when it comes to targets for the 49ers. Shanahan is beginning to trust
his young TE and he should get more looks vs a Redskins team that is 3rd
worst vs the position.
Coby Fleener (NWO)
Fleener is still available
in almost 50% of leagues and should be on your roster playing for the high
power Saints offense. His PPR value is higher than standard but still worth a
pick up.
David Njoku (CIN)
All this man does is
catch touchdowns, and the unreal one handed catch he made last week I’d expect Cleveland
to feed this freak talent. He will be a match-up player still, but in a
position that doesn’t offer much in production he could be worth a flyer.
Austin Hooper (ATL)
Available in more than
50% of league Hooper might be a good pick up this week with Sanu injured and
not expected to play. Ryan should be able to find Austin vs a Miami team that
is in complete disarray.
Best Week 6 Defense Stream:
New England – Playing NY Jets
Washington – Playing San Francisco
Atlanta – Playing Miami
Los Angeles Chargers – Playing Oakland (If Carr sits)
Tennessee – Playing Indianapolis
