Season Record:  7-8 (.466)

NFL WEEK 2 – Predictions (Projected odds makers @ Sep.14 – 12:00PM EST)

Thursday Sept.14.2017

Houston @ Cincinnati (Favorite)
Westgate -6
Caesar’s -6
William Hill -6
Wynn -6
Cantor -6
Unibet -6.5
SportSelect -5.5

The Bengals took an out-right beating at the hands of the Ravens last week. Playing at home on a short week should help them get back on track. Houston looked lost vs a perennial underachieving Jags squad. Watson should give the Texans offence some improvement. I see the Bengals winning this game but not covering the spread. CIN doesn’t cover the spread @ -6 HOU 13 CIN 9 (W)

Sunday Sept.17.2017

Cleveland @ Baltimore (Favorite)
Westgate -8
Caesar’s -8
William Hill -8
Wynn -8.5
Cantor -8
Unibet -7.5
SportSelect -7.5

The Ravens looked like an unstoppable machine last week, especially on defense. Cleveland held their own at home vs the Steelers. Home opener for the Ravens coming off a huge win. Both teams have low end offences from week 1. I see Baltimore winning but not covering the spread. BAL doesn’t cover the spread @ -8 CLE 10 BAL 24 (L)

Buffalo @ Carolina (Favorite)
Westgate -7.5
Caesar’s -7.5
William Hill -7
Wynn -7.5
Cantor -7
Unibet -7.5
SportSelect -7.5

Buffalo didn’t dominate like I believed they would last week vs the NYJ. The Panthers looked timid behind Cam and his repaired shoulder. I’m really curious to see what former Panthers DC (now Bills HC) McDermott does to his former squad, he has insider trading here! Tough call but I don’t see Carolina covering. CAR doesn’t cover the spread @ -7.5 BUF 3 CAR 9 (W)

Arizona (Favorite) @ Indianapolis
Westgate -7
Caesar’s -7
William Hill -7.5
Wynn -7.5
Cantor -7
Unibet -6.5
SportSelect -7.5

Losing David Johnson was a massive blow to the Cards; luckily they have a few backs to recreate him with a good game plan. The Colts looked like a pop-warner team last week getting blown out by the Rams. Expect a heavy dose of passing from Palmer and company. Zona rolls over the helpless Colts. ARZ covers the spread @ -7.5 ARZ 16 IND 13 (L)

Tennessee (Favorite) @ Jacksonville
Westgate -2
Caesar’s -2
William Hill -2
Wynn -2.5
Cantor -1.5
Unibet -2.5
SportSelect -1.5

The Titans aggravated me with the lack of commitment to the run game vs the Raiders to which cost them the game last week. Hopefully they viewed enough tape to go back to their roots and understand the run is the track to get this train moving. The Jags looked impressive while launching their defense atop the NFL in standing, even though they played a terrible Texan offence coming off a massive hurricane relief effort. I fully expect the Titans to get back to their ways and run their way to victory. TEN covers the spread @ -2.5  TEN 37 JAX 16 (W)

Philadelphia @ Kansas City (Favorite)
Westgate -5.5
Caesar’s -5.5
William Hill -5.5
Wynn -5.5
Cantor -6
Unibet -4.5
SportSelect -4.5

The Chiefs looked fantastic in the season opener vs NE. Losing Eric Berry was massive to that defense and may see some holes moving forward. The Eagles impressed me with their late game power, I believe in that Eagles defense. I think KC is a very good team but need to see it more to become a true believer. I’ll roll with the home team on this one. KC covers the spread @ -5.5
PHI 20 KC 27 (W)

New England (Favorite) @ New Orleans
Westgate -6.5
Caesar’s -6.5
William Hill -6.5
Wynn -7
Cantor -6.5
Unibet -6.5
SportSelect -7.5

The Pats were embarrassed at home opening night of the season. The lack of depth at WR should be a concern but knowing New England and Belichick’s game plans, he will give a heavy dose to Gronk and the running backs. The Saints need to figure out how to produce on offence because that defense yet again can’t stop a cold. I can see a shootout between the two elites. NE doesn’t cover the spread @ -6.5 NE 36 NWO 20 (L)

Minnesota @ Pittsburgh (Favorite)
Westgate -5.5
Caesar’s -5.5
William Hill -6
Wynn -6
Cantor -6
Unibet -4.5
SportSelect -6.5

The Vikings looked surgical dismantling the Saints. I absolutely love Minny’s WR core and revamped OL. Pittsburgh always seems to play to the level of their opponent; playing at home you think they would have the edge but not enough to cover. PIT doesn’t cover the spread @ -6
MIN 9 PIT 26 (L)

Bears @ Tampa Bay (Favorite)
Westgate -7
Caesar’s -7
William Hill -7
Wynn -7
Cantor -7
Unibet -6.5
SportSelect -7.5

The season opener for the Bucs due to the recent hurricane in Florida. I like what the Bucs have added but think it might be difficult as this is their first game of the season. The Bears impressed me with good defensive play vs Atlanta last week. The Bears defense is greatly underrated and I see them making plays to stay in this game. TB should win but not cover. TB doesn’t cover the spread @ -7 CHI 7 TB 29 (L)

Miami @ LA Chargers (Favorite)
Westgate -5
Caesar’s -4.5
William Hill -4.5
Wynn -4
Cantor -4
Unibet -4.5
SportSelect -4.5

The Chargers made a great 2nd half push to almost complete the comeback. I do like aspects of the Chargers offence but don’t think they are dominating. Miami like Tampa will be playing their first game of the season due to the hurricane. Normally I would side with the home team based on long travel but the Dolphins have been in LA for over a week and should be accustomed to the time change. Tough one here!! LAC doesn’t cover the spread @ -4.5 MIA 19 LAC 17 (W)

NY Jets @ Oakland (Favorite)
Westgate -13
Caesar’s -14
William Hill -14
Wynn -14
Cantor -13.5
Unibet -13.5
SportSelect -13.5

I found my ticket to the Raiders bandwagon 3 years ago and haven’t fallen off. I love what this team is and am very excited to see them grow. I hate large spreads such as these but cross country travel for the lowly JETS playing a potential power-house! I’ll gamble. OAK covers the spread @ -14
NYJ 20 OAK 45 (W)

Dallas (Favorite) @ Denver
Westgate -2.5
Caesar’s -2.5
William Hill -2
Wynn -2.5
Cantor -1.5
Unibet -2.5
SportSelect -2.5

One of the most intriguing matches of the weekend. Dak didn’t wow me on Sunday Night Football but his resolve did. He came back after throwing inaccurate balls throughout the 1st half. Denver looked fantastic early on vs the Chargers but had unfortunate turnovers that almost cost them the game. That Denver defense still looks powerful. I’m taking the home team here. Dallas doesn’t cover the spread @ -2.5 DAL 17 DEN 42 (W)

Washington @ LA Rams (Favorite)
Westgate -2.5
Caesar’s -2.5
William Hill -2.5
Wynn -2.5
Cantor -2.5
Unibet -1.5
SportSelect -2.5

I liked what I saw from the Rams and that new look offence. They have so many weapons; it will be difficult to game plan against. Jared Goff impressed me with his improved progression. That being said it was vs a terrible Colts team. Washington looked average as they completely gave the game away in the latter stages. I will always favor the home team with an opponent that has massive travel miles. LAR cover the spread @ -2.5 WAS 27 LAR 20 (L)

San Francisco @ Seattle (Favorite)
Westgate -14
Caesar’s -13.5
William Hill -14
Wynn -14
Cantor -14
Unibet -12.5
SportSelect -13.5

Another two touchdown spread to think about. This one is more difficult as I didn’t see a ton to get excited over from the Hawks first game at Lambo. However, the 49ers will be what they are this year and that’s not saying much. Seattle is always a beast at home and vs a terrible foe I could see this one happening. I will gamble again. Sea covers the spread @ -14 SF 9 SEA 12 (L)

Green Bay @ Atlanta (Favorite)
Westgate -3
Caesar’s -2.5
William Hill -2.5
Wynn -3
Cantor -3
Unibet -2.5
SportSelect -2.5

What a treat we should be in for on Sunday Night Football!!! Get your popcorn ready!!! This one to me is an absolute dart board throw. The edge goes to ATL (home team) simply because they are unveiling their new digs at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and that crowd should be off the hook. I like how the Packers played on both sides of the ball especially the defense. This one could go either way.
ATL covers the spread @ -3 GB 23 ATL 34 (W)

Monday Sept.18.2017

Detroit @ NY Giants (Favorite)
Westgate -3.5
Caesar’s -3.5
William Hill -3
Wynn -3.5
Cantor -3
Unibet -4.5
SportSelect -3

That Giants offence looked horrible vs the Cowboys Sunday Night. Rumor has it that Beckham Jr will suit up and play. Even if he acts as a decoy (possible) it should help others like the invisible Brandon Marshall and company find room to move. As I mentioned in the #ADF Draft Kit the Giants did nothing to address the OL issues and it was quite apparent. Detroit doesn’t travel well and doesn’t like the outdoors. I do like how the Lions moved the ball and the healthy talent they have. That Giants Def is nice but I wonder if they can beat the Lions. I will gamble on the road team here. NYG doesn’t cover the spread @ -3.5 DET 24 NYG 10 (W)

Week 2 Record 9-7 (.562)

Season Record 16-15 (.516)
