KEEP or CUT - The Dez Bryant Conundrum

Entering his ninth season in the NFL, all of which he’s played with the Dallas Cowboys; questions begin to escalate about the future of his tenure in Big-D. Recent rumors have suggested that Bryant is unequivocally going to receive his walking papers after the NFL draft. While Bryant surely remains in his prime at the age of 29, the reason for speculation of his potential release is purely dictated with the remaining dollars on his contract and current cap hit which is handcuffing the Cowboys. Having signed his monster contract back in 2015 ( 5YR-$70,000,000/45,000,000-Guaranteed ), the dollars committed haven’t equated to statistical success on the field these last three years. Missing ten games over the span with a multitude of injures also has Jerry Jones and the Cowboys brain trust apprehensive in how to handle their star receiver. Purely from the financial aspect, the Cowboys find themselves in a heap of trouble with a minimal 5.6 million dollars remaining on the boo

2018 NFL Draft & Team Needs: Picks 21 to 32

With the combine finished and pro-days in full swing, preparation for the NFL Draft is underway as teams finalize their boards for the big day. With many key free agent signings over the past week, requirements have definitely changed for what teams are looking to draft. Let’s take a quick look at teams needs and what they could potentially draft. NFL Draft Round 1: Pick 21: Cincinnati Bengals (via BUF) | Top Needs – OL, DB, DL, WR Trading down seven spots with the Buffalo Bills allowed the Bengals to address their offensive line issues in acquiring left tackle Cordy Glenn and gaining extra picks for the upcoming draft. Shoring up the offensive line is still the top priority coming into the draft as coach Marvin Lewis would most definitely want to see fewer sacks and a much better run attack for the 2018 season. With that said, the Bengals have many holes to fill on this roster including a defensive backend that was leaking oil far too often allowing big plays to occur la

2018 NFL Draft & Team Needs: Picks 11 to 20

With the combine finished and pro-days in full swing, preparation for the NFL Draft is underway as teams finalize their boards for the big day. With many key free agent signings over the past week, requirements have definitely changed for what teams are looking to draft. Let’s take a quick look at teams needs and what they could potentially draft. NFL Draft Round 1: Pick 11: Miami Dolphins | Top Needs – LB, TE, DT, WR As coach Adam Gase and general manager Chris Grier entertain retooling this club, key losses and meek additions to the team have already taken place. Miami again looks to have a skewed plan as they add players to the fold. Losing Landry (trade), Suh (released), and Pouncey (released), leaves rather large holes on the roster to fill. Rumors have swirled around South Beach that the potential for Miami to select another quarterback could be a real possibility even with Ryan Tannehill under his massive contract. Looking to replace Ndamukong Suh is the easy choic

2018 NFL Draft & Team Needs: Picks 1 to 10

With the combine finished and pro-days in full swing, preparation for the NFL Draft is underway as teams finalize their boards for the big day. With many key free agent signings over the past week, requirements have definitely changed for what teams are looking to draft. Let’s take a quick look at teams needs and what they could potentially draft. NFL Draft Round 1: Pick 1: Cleveland Browns | Top Needs – RB, QB, DL, OL As active as the Browns have been this offseason, they still have ample opportunities to stack their roster with their abundance of picks. Tyord Taylor is a great bridge quarterback for any team looking to upgrade the position. With the Jets trading up to #3 overall, and the Bills potentially orchestrating a trade to man the number two spot, the Browns hand might be forced to snag their franchise quarterback at one ahead of the NY Jets and Buffalo Bills. The choice for their top selection in the 2018 draft should indeed include; Sam Darnold, or Saquon Barkl

Top 15 Remaining NFL Free Agents

Ndamukong Suh (DT) A generational talent upon his entrance into the NFL - now Suh has created an image branding himself as a troublesome, selfish, underperforming paid talent. Not fulfilling his contractual salary with production in Miami, Suh has been entertaining visits to other teams upon his release. Ranking as the top free agent on the market to this point, Ndamukong again has his choice of teams he’d like to play for in the upcoming season. Already having meetings with the Titans and the Saints, Suh has a visit lined up with the LA Rams to potentially form a tandem that would see super star Aaron Donald teamed up with Ndamukong forming a unit that would be very difficult to play against. Coming off a sixteen game season that saw a career low in statistics, Suh generated a mere 4.5 sacks and 29 tackles. It’s clear Suh’s angle is to generate the most lucrative deal possible, but this time we may see lower dollar figures taken to be part of a winning formula in hopes to win a ch

Free Agent Frenzy - Fantasy Football Impact

Fantasy Football Risers: Kirk Cousins (MIN) The largest riser in the fantasy football world from the free agent pool is former Redskin quarterback Kirk Cousins. Signing his extremely lucrative deal, Kirk will be the answer in Minnesota for at least the next three seasons. Finishing seventh in the NFL in pass yards (4093), and eighth in touchdown passes (27), fully expect those numbers to climb throwing to a cast of characters that dwarf most of the Redskins receiving core. Kirk will enjoy playing behind a solid offensive line, a productive running game, and having a set of pass catches that can bail him out of missed throws and inaccurate passes. Since becoming the starter in Washington, Cousins has never seen a season under 4000 passing yards and 25 touchdown passes, fairly impressive with what he had to work with. Minnesota is a definite upgrade and Kirk should reap the benefits. It’s very possible we see Kirk flirt with the possibly of reaching the 5000 yard mark and 32-35 t
