Jacksonville Jaguars 2018 Draft Class Review

With the 2018 NFL Draft behind us, it’s time to begin the review process on how each team stacks up with the selections they’ve made. With the success the Jaguars had last season in taking their squad all the way to the AFC Championship, falling a few plays short from stamping their ticket to the Super Bowl, adding depth talent to the roster was on the agenda. Selecting seven players to an already stout unit looks to strengthen Jacksonville’s position to make yet another run. Added defensive talent looks to be the highlights from this draft, let’s review…  Jacksonville Jaguars 2018 Draft Class Review: Round 1 – Pick 29 (29) Taven Bryan (DT) It really is incredible to view the Jaguars depth chart and see the multitude of talent that resides on their defense with top-end star talent littered in almost every positional grouping. With their first pick in the draft, the Jaguars selected one of the fastest rising players during the combine process with the athletic frea

Pittsburgh Steelers 2018 Draft Class Review

With the 2018 NFL Draft behind us, it’s time to begin the review process on how each team stacks up with the selections they’ve made. The Pittsburgh Steelers window for elite success could be closing quickly as Ben Roethlisberger flirts with retirement and LeVeon Bell could become a free agent next season. This draft was an interesting one for the Steelers as they looked to gain an edge for another Super Bowl run, while trying to build for the future. Some intriguing selections were made from this class, let’s review…  Pittsburgh Steelers 2018 Draft Class Review: Round 1 – Pick 28 (28) Terrell Edmounds (DB) With their first pick in the draft the Steelers may have reached on this one selecting former Virginia Tech safety Terrell Edmounds. Seeing his brother chosen earlier in the first round to the Buffalo Bills happened to mark this as the first time in draft history we have seen siblings taken in the first round of the draft. While Terrell isn’t as big and may not h

Seattle Seahawks 2018 Draft Class Review

With the 2018 NFL Draft behind us, it’s time to begin the review process on how each team stacks up with the selections they’ve made. While Seattle begins the rebuild of their once overpaid defensive unit, this draft would give an indication of what the team will look like this season. With many holes on the roster on both offense and defense, General Manager John Schneider was able to add nine players to the fold while adding large numbers in undrafted free agent talent, let’s review…  Seattle Seahawks 2018 Draft Class Review: Round 1 – Pick 27 (27) Rashaad Penny (RB) While some may not view Penny as a true NFL three down running back, ADF was excited to see the Seahawks take a chance in selecting Rashaad in the first round. Penny exemplifies the prototypical size and speed desired from any team looking to rebuild their run game with a true speed-power back. While his speed for his size looks great, his shifty mobile aspect of his game will indeed provide Seattle

Atlanta Falcons 2018 Draft Class Review

With the 2018 NFL Draft behind us, it’s time to begin the review process on how each team stacks up with the selections they’ve made. Though the Falcons only had six selections in this year’s draft, General Manger Thomas Dimitroff made it count picking top end talent. Perhaps the money will be made, and the returns will be plentiful from their top two choices, while good depth was achieved. Can the Falcons get back on track and push for another run, time will tell, let’s review…  Atlanta Falcons 2018 Draft Class Review: Round 1 – Pick 26 (26) Calvin Ridley (WR) While many conversations have been had and the topic of course is the talent level of former Alabama product Calvin Ridley. Many of my colleagues have written off Calvin placing opinions that he is undersized, doesn’t possess the top end talent needed for a pro wide receiver, is too thin and lacks the overall size to dominate at the next level. Let ADF remove those notions as we are believers in what Ridley
